The story begins with Twitter user PlayStation Game Size uncovering a new Cyberpunk 2077 image within the PlayStation Store's backend network. At first glance, this new Cyberpunk 2077 art looks like all the other promotional material CDPR has been using to market Cyberpunk 2077. One user, Roberto Vader, couldn't tell whether the image was official, and other users felt the same way. In fact, most of the users share one theory: they believe that this image is going to be used for the 1.5 update and/or as the logo for the PS5 version of the game. In addition, because this image was in the backend network, many users are assuming that the next-gen upgrades are just on the horizon.

Lately, players have been speculating about update 1.5 including free DLC, a barber shop, and other quality of life features. Logically, if this discovery is indicative of a potential release, then players can expect an announcement from CDPR regarding a next-gen release soon. Update 1.5 is also more than likely to coincide with the next-gen upgrades, and CDPR also already confirmed that the Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrades will be free.

While Cyberpunk 2077 fans could indeed be looking at what's to come, this is not the first time that rumors about Cyberpunk 2077 have appeared. Recently, CDPR denied rumors about Cyberpunk 2077's 1.5 update, such as the update including DLC.

On the other hand, This image is not on the PlayStation Store's backend network for no reason, especially when this image wasn't present until now. CDPR might actually be preparing to announce Cyberpunk 2077's 1.5 update, and players should most certainly be on the look-out for any more updates regarding the game. Cyberpunk 2077 has been building up momentum for a year, and now is the time for CDPR to bring its game to new heights.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
