Rumors have spread that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a story-driven DLC expansion soon. There is a lot to work with in terms of story, as there has been a lot mentioned that has not made an appearance, from the Combat Zone to Morgan Blackhand. There have also been Cyberpunk 2077 leaks that have fueled rumors about the DLC taking place in Pacifica and featuring a new character named Songbird.

What a lot of fans want in Cyberpunk 2077, though, is more on a character named Mr. Blue Eyes. This is an easily missable NPC, as he cannot be harmed or interacted with. Who he is and what he is truly capable of is one of the games' biggest mysteries, and players want to learn more.

What Is Known About Mr. Blue Eyes So Far

Mr. Blue Eyes.

Mr. Blue Eyes is around in the side job, Dream On. When V gets a call from someone unknown, who tells them nothing will change and tells them not to meddle, Mr. Blue Eyes will be watching from a terrace. While he cannot be interacted with, a scan reveals his identity. Many fans believe it possible that he was the caller.

The NPC makes a second appearance in a particular ending, the one where V becomes the most famous mercenary in Night City. In that ending, Blue Eyes hires V to do a heist at the Crystal Palace, a casino space station. Blue Eyes promises V that if they succeed, they will gain more than they could imagine. In the ending, Viktor tells V that there is no information to find out about Blue Eyes, which likely means he is very high up the ladder of some organization.

There is more to this NPC than these two instances. His existence is mentioned in some random banters, often mentioning that he is always watching. Garry the Prophet even mentions blue-eyed people in his ramblings, who come down to control politicians of Earth. This actually fits into Mr. Blue Eyes and his presence in the quest, Dream On. Other details fans have noticed include that Blue Eyes was in the Cyberpunk 2077 reveal trailer (though at the time, his eyes were not blue).

Why Fans Want Mr. Blue Eyes In The Expansion

Mr. Blue Eyes is a source of much fan discussion, as his mysteriousness created many theories. These theories have spawned a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 expansion ideas. Many felt that the Dream On quest was a prelude to something bigger, but as Cyberpunk 2077 is now, that bigger picture has not yet been explored. Mr. Blue Eyes' presence felt conspiracy related, and there are some theories that he is not even human or a single individual.

Silverhand himself had a theory in the game, saying an A.I. might be messing with the Peralez family in Dream On. It's possible that Mr. Blue Eyes is being controlled remotely. One DLC prediction for Cyberpunk 2077 is that Xochi, the daughter of the Peralez's, will hire V to rescue her family from their strange circumstance with Mr. Blue Eyes. Some fans have even suspected that Blue Eyes and Morgan Blackhand are the same. Based on the ending where he sends V to the Crystal Palace, it also was hinted that he knows a way to save their life.

Some fans want more than a DLC with Mr. Blue Eyes. Rather, they want the games' sequel to involve him. However, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is currently not likely. It became very famous for having a disastrous launch, which forced the game to slowly gain quality through patches. This cost CD Projeckt Red, as many gamers sought refunds and its reputation took a nose dive. With a sequel unlikely to occur, the best fans can hope for is that Mr. Blue Eyes is explored more in DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
