A Cyberpunk 2077 modder has created a grappling hook mod with a functionality that allows players to use it as a web shooter and swing from place to place. Given the setting of the game, Cyberpunk 2077 provides its players with a lot of versatility when it comes to mods. The characters in Cyberpunk 2077 are heavily modded themselves due to the cyberware that they've installed at the various Ripperdocs found in nearly every corner of the city. As a result, almost any mod that fans could think of could be easily implemented into the game without looking out of place.
In Cyberpunk 2077, gamers get to explore Night City, a megalithic location divided into six main districts, all of which have their own subdistricts. Given the city's huge dimensions, players use one of V's multiple cars to get from one place to another, or they can get around in Cyberpunk 2077 by fast traveling when it comes to moving great distances. However, there is now a different way to get around thanks a unique mod.
Players can now swing from building to building when exploring Cyberpunk 2077's Night City with a mod called Grappling Hook made by Nexus Mods user Perfectly Normal Beast. In addition to implementing a grappling hook into the game, the mod also has several other features to make it even more versatile. Gamers can use it as a regular grappling hook to pull themselves towards a certain point. They can use it as a rope and throw themselves from a high point without suffering from fall damage, and they can also use it as a web shooter to swing themselves from place to place and travel long distances.
The creator mentions that although the web swinging feature can seem unrealistic since the user doesn't actually have to look towards the point that they'd like to grapple onto, it was mostly added just for some fun. Cyberpunk 2077 players interested in giving the grappling hook mod a try can download it from the Nexus Mods website.
There is no doubt that feeling like Spiderman and using webs as a method to get around is a lot of fun. For example, Fortnite has also implemented web shooters into its gameplay, and most fans loved the concept of it and were sad to see it go when it was vaulted. With the Phantom Liberty DLC coming out soon, fans are expecting at least a few new features to be added to Cyberpunk 2077, and there will likely be other quirky mods to go with it.
