The Violence side quest in Cyberpunk 2077 is a short one, but choosing one option will result in V getting a larger paycheck at the end of the day. There are two endings to the Violence quest, and they have very different outcomes.

The Violence side quest is among the more disturbing quests in Cyberpunk 2077, but it also features singer, songwriter, and musician Grimes as Night City star Lizzy Wizzy. During Violence, Lizzy contacts V for help with an investigation. Like many other Cyberpunk quests, this involves betrayal and vengeance, but unlike other quests in CD Projekt Red's most recent game, this job doesn't fall into a long line of subsequent quests. Instead, one ending to Violence can be left open for interpretation.

Lizzy fears that her boyfriend and manager, Liam Northam, has been cheating on her. He's been having whispered phone calls and secret meetings in the middle of the night. After Lizzy hires V and sends the mercenary to a nightclub in Night City, V scours the floors until they find Lizzy's boyfriend with another woman on the surveillance system.

While the conversation V witnesses doesn't catch Liam red-handed for cheating, he's conniving something perhaps worse: he wants to save Lizzy's conscious onto an engram and alter it, much like Johnny Silverhand. Though V can confront Liam in the VIP lounge prior to calling Lizzy, this won't change the outcomes of this Cyberpunk 2077 scene.

Lie to Lizzy Wizzy

Johnny Silverhand won't like this option and believes Lizzy should know the truth, but if V chooses to lie to her so she won't be subjected to the darker truth, the mission will end and V will be paid for their time. V won't receive any more texts or calls, and this is seemingly the end of Lizzy Wizzy's storyline in Cyberpunk 2077.

Tell Lizzy Wizzy The Truth

If V chooses to tell Lizzy Wizzy the truth, like many other Cyberpunk 2077 quests, this job will close and another will open after some time passes. Later on, Lizzy Wizzy will call V with another job. Upon arrival, V finds she has "accidentally" killed Liam in a fit of rage, but blames it on her new body. Here, V can make another choice: dispose of the body or leave Lizzy to handle the situation herself. If V chooses to help with the body, they'll receive the biggest payout possible and the quest will close.

There's quite a bit to unpack throughout the mission, such as when Liam says he has barely recognized her since her entire body had been replaced with cybernetics. V will also receive texts from the star that she's released her first braindance, indicating that there may have been more to this story initially planned.

Based on dark remarks made by Lizzy herself, it's clear that she's undergoing a sinister change, but whether or not this was a longer Cyberpunk tale cut down due to budget constraints, the ending of Violence is left to interpretation.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and will launch in 2021 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
