Cyberpunk 2077 has had a pretty rough few weeks despite the game having apparently gone gold. For those who may have missed it, CD Projekt Red made the shocking announcement that Cyberpunk 2077's release date was delayed again, though only by a matter of weeks this time around.

Still, despite the numerous delays, CD Projekt Red is still trying to drum up as much hype for the game as possible before Cyberpunk 2077 finally releases. Recently, CD Projekt Red teamed up with Porsche to bring Johnny Silverhand’s in-game Porsche 911 Turbo to life.

Johnny Silverhand is going to be a key figure throughout Cyberpunk 2077, though not much is known about his role in the game’s story. Plenty of promotional material featuring Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand has been shown off, but aside from the fact that he will be a guide of sorts to the main protagonist, his larger role in the story remains a mystery. Some of that promotional material has revealed some amazing equipment that Silverhand will use, though. Specifically, the character owns a retro Porsche 911 Turbo that he cares for a lot.

Back in October, CD Projekt Red revealed that it would be partnering with Porsche to bring the in-game 911 Turbo to life. The official Porsche YouTube channel debuted the video showcasing the completed car and it’s pretty stunning. The 911 Turbo was teased during Night City Wire Episode 4 which featured an in-depth dive into the vehicles found through Cyberpunk 2077. The episode also showcased Keanu Reeves’ love for motorcycles before hinting at the 911 Turbo, which also carries over into his Johnny Silverhand character.

It’s an interesting vehicle to see in the world of Cyberpunk for a multitude of reasons. For one, a Porsche that old is practically an antique in the year 2077. Plus, Cyberpunk 2077’s Porsche 911 Turbo appears to be a fairly normal vehicle when compared to some of the futuristic modifications some of the vehicles in the Cyberpunk world have. However, it wouldn’t be a Cyberpunk vehicle if it didn’t come with at least a few advanced car mods. While it comes complete with a retro tape deck, the 911 Turbo also apparently has cameras on the side mirrors that display info on monitors in the cabin, and sensors that let aerial vehicles spot the car while flying above.

Though not much is known about who Johnny Silverhand really is, it’s clear that he’s one of the characters with the most flare in Cyberpunk 2077. From his 911 Turbo to the iconic silver arm that gives him his name, Johnny Silverhand may just be one of the most intriguing aspects about the game. Of course, the fact that his character is still so mysterious plays a big part in that along with Keanu Reeves’ portrayal of the character. Hopefully fans look forward to seeing more of Silverhand and his 911 Turbo on December 10.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches December 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
