Johnny Silverhand is taking control over V slowly but surely during the events of Cyberpunk 2077. It might seem involuntary, for both the player and Johnny, but what if it weren't? What if the player decided to stop resisting and let V become the anarchist rockstar? Sure, the physical differences will always be there, but the clothes, the attitude, and the personality are pretty fun and it's not wrong for players to be enticed by his signature style. All of Johnny's items are one-of-a-kind, both when he was alive and when V wanders onto his old stomping grounds.

Even gamers that don't intend to go with the "turn into Johnny" style might be persuaded to get these items anyway because of the completionist part of a gamer's DNA. "Breathtaking" is the achievement given for acquiring every item on this list. Even if none of this seems worthwhile, it's wise to look at the best of Johnny's items and see if they can benefit a certain character build in Cyberpunk 2077.

Updated on April 21st, 2022 by Hodey Johns: What a difference a few extra years can make! Thankfully, a steady player base has kept Cyberpunk 2077 alive in the darkest of times. That patience was rewarded with a total overhaul of the game over the course of several patches. Many of those changes affected the gear on this list, from the car and weapon to all the clothing. Since Johnny Silverhand's legacy will continue to live on, it felt like an excellent time to revisit this list and add any relevant information. With a combination of stylish looks and tactical superiority, there is something from the collection for every kind of player to consider.

7 Porsche 911 II (930) Turbo

With all of the high-speed motorcycles out there in Night City, it's hard to recommend a vehicle that isn't absolutely tearing up the road. Johnny's classic car is stylish and, if players know how and when to acquire it, it's even free! The "Samurai" sticker on the back windshield keeps the band alive on the streets after Johnny's passing.

The fact that this is the weakest of Johnny's items speaks to the strength of the list. Still, while it's nice to look at, out of thirty-five unique vehicles, this one's top speed is tied for eighteenth, placing it in the bottom half of units in the game in terms of velocity.

6 Malorian Arms 3516

As fun as vehicle combat is, may prefer to fight on foot after getting ahold of the Malorian Arms 3516. Not only is the gun a beauty, but it's got unique reload and firing animations. Players using this weapon will feel like a gunslinger straight out of the old west.

This is still ranked low because while all of Johnny's clothing can be the best in Cyberpunk 2077, this pistol, no matter how upgraded, cannot claim the same in practice. That distinction goes to Skippy, often considered the greatest gun in the game overall.

5 Replica Of Johnny's Samurai Jacket

Wondering where that neon blue-collar comes from on the cover of the game? Wonder no longer. It's not an original, but the replica is up to date and fresh, just as much as when Johnny originally rocked the jacket while he was alive. The decals and unique shoulder stitching will stand out in any crowd.

It's only ranked beneath the rest of the clothing because of what it doesn't show. Any awesome tattoos or shirts will be mostly covered up by this jacket. It's cool in its own right, but it'd be nice if it were a little less modest. Still, at least it's not ugly enough to make V's car drive away in disgust.

4 Johnny's Shoes

It doesn't help that some of the game's best shoes are statistically gaudy but unattractive visually. Getting into the ring and trying to defeat Rhino will need great statistics, to be sure, but if V looks like garbage doing it, any victory will be tainted.

Johnny might be playing it safe with these all-black sneakers, but it's very appreciated among gamers that don't like running around Night City looking like a clown. They are conventionally good-looking as well as functionally sound. Crafters will want to be sure to keep these upgraded as outfits change.

3 Johnny's Tank Top

Outside of downloading one of the latest and greatest mods, gamers will be looking to make V as irresistible as possible. The tank top is black for the slimming effect and it doesn't hurt that it's got Johnny's Samurai patterns on it. It's the right mix of matching with everything while still making a statement on its own.

Every piece of equipment in the game can be upgraded to a similar maximum, so while all armor is randomized and statistically equal depending on the number generation, nothing can substitute for taste and this shirt has that in spades.

2 Johnny's Pants

Imagine raising enough eddies for one of the game's most expensive items to craft, then finding out the piece is no better than what the mobs are already dropping. Crafters will upgrade a pair of pants they believe looks to be the best but then they'll find Johnny's and wish for their materials back.

Johnny has a lot of the old way of life still in him and his throwback to a simpler western time is evident nowhere more than in these pants. The bullets on the belt are a rugged touch and the brown leather really sets them apart from the hundreds of baggy jeans with bitched dye jobs that seem way too common in Night City.

1 Johnny's Aviators

The eyewear in Cyberpunk 2077 is, by and large, terrible. Between culturally appropriated masks, rusty goggles, and lens-free sunglasses, it's tempting to forfeit the bonus that comes with the face items so that V doesn't look like an embarrassing mess and start scaring away potentially friendly NPCs.

Then come along these aviators and it's a breath of fresh air. Outside of a few essential perks, every player will have a different build in Cyberpunk 2077, but these aviators look good on bat-wielding behemoths and slender master hackers alike. Aviators have survived the passing decades with a great deal of grace and somehow, gamers have a reason to believe that their best year might very well still happen in 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10th, 2020, and is available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PC.
