At Gamescom yesterday, CD Projekt Red unveiled several new screenshots for its upcoming action role-playing title, Cyberpunk 2077. More concept art was also revealed today, and it seems CD Projekt Red is continuing the trend of hiding coded messages within its promotional material.

One of the pieces - the first shown below - holds a "bit.ly" link in the top right corner, which is a website used to shorten links. When the full hyperlink was manually entered, the enigmatic material just got more mysterious. This link brought up a picture with various markings - the second depicted below - with the message "M0r3 7h4n m337s 7h3 3y3.4," which is Cyberpunk 2077's way of informing fans that there was "more than meets the eye."

Furthermore, when that image was opened up in a text editor, it was translated to say, "Can't talk. They're watching. Need my TT insurance renewed ASAP. Use the provided ID. Counting on you." This translation is the third image seen below. Check them out here:

But that's not all. Another user did some digging into Trauma Team International, one of the most powerful corporations present in Cyberpunk 2077, and discovered even more hidden messages, which follow below. All-in-all, this is an intriguing mystery and it seems possible not everything has been truly revealed yet, as it is definitely more than meets the eye.

cyberpunk 2077 trauma team thank you

While it seems likely more will eventually come from this message, it has refueled previous rumors about a connected mobile ARG, although it seems unlikely since the CD Projekt Capital Group has recently acquired Spokko, a mobile developer. If the latter message is any indication, it may also mean something will be announced in 7 days.

Regardless, the hype surrounding CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077 remains as alive as ever, with recent information about the action RPG promising a complexity comparable to The Witcher 3. It's likely these promotional materials, as this is not the first message hidden in an image by the developer, are a major booster for that fact. So tell us, Ranters, what do you make of these hidden messages?

Cyberpunk 2077 currently lacks an official release date but is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
