Over the past few weeks, CD Projekt Red has been generous enough to share exciting new details on Cyberpunk 2077, such as how character creation will influence the overall gameplay. Now, the studio has confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077's hardcore mode will take things to a whole new level by turning off the game's UI.

In an interview with WCCF Tech, CD Projekt Red's Alvin Liu revealed interesting new details about the game from general gameplay elements to rumors concerning Lady Gaga. When asked about the game's difficulty settings, the developer explained that CD Projekt Red is aiming to make Cyberpunk 2077 accessible to all players regardless of background and skill level. To achieve this goal, Liu revealed that the game will include settings that make things easier for players with less experience in shooters and are only after the game's story.

Of course, the dev reassures fans that there will also be settings available for hardcore players who are looking for a challenging experience. "The most fun one I think will be the Hardcore setting where we turn off the UI you have as well. And that will be a real challenge for a lot of players." Unfortunately, Liu did not go into detail on what other gameplay elements will be added or removed in Cyberpunk 2077's hardcore mode, but it is interesting to see how the absence of a UI will affect the overall experience.

At last month's Xbox E3 press conference, CD Projekt Red surprised players with the appearance of actor Keannu Reeves, who will star in Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand. The shocking revelation of Reeves' involvement made the hype for Cyberpunk 2077 stronger than ever, which is why it is not unlikely for other Hollywood celebrities to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming game.

A couple of days ago, quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz was asked which other celebrity he would like to see in Cyberpunk 2077. The developer quickly revealed his adoration of actor Meryl Streep and said that her portrayal of an ice queen magazine editor in The Devil Wears Prada, "could be totally one of the big characters in the game." Although Streep's involvement in Cyberpunk 2077 is highly unlikely, who knows what other surprises CD Projekt Red has in store for the game?

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
