Just a week ago, Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED revealed more about the game's weapon types and various combat abilities and systems. While the information provided a tantalizing teaser about what fans can expect, it seems that the developer isn't done when it comes to sharing tidbits about the game's combat.

Speaking to fans on the official Cyberpunk 2077 forums, CD Projekt RED's community lead Marcin Momot confirmed that players wouldn't be forced to look down the sights when firing weapons. "You'll be able to fire from your hip as well," wrote Momot.

Not only this, but the game will feature "various augmentations" in order to improve firing from the hip in order. There will still be some "additional bonuses" to firing from the hip but these hip-fire augmentations will make both methods a "viable" way of shooting.

Momot didn't disclose exactly what these augmentations will look like. However, the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo that the studio revealed last year did offer some hints. During the demo, the player character can be seen getting an improvement to their eyesight. It's reasonable to think that with that same improvement to the character's eyesight (or a similar augmentation), firing guns from the hip will become a lot more accurate.

Momot didn't just provide more information about the game's combat systems, though. The CD Projekt RED community lead also shed more light on the game's soundtrack. Momot responded to a thread of songs that fans would like to hear in the game and said that he has a feeling that "a lot of folks will be really surprised with the general music direction we're taking with the game."

The Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack will "obviously" match the theme and tone of the game and will "compliment" the game's setting of Night City, said Momot. But, with this said "I don't think many are expecting where we're going," Momot explained.

Fans previously speculated that Cyberpunk 2077's soundtrack will feature the likes of rapper Kanye West and actress and pop star Lady Gaga. The Kanye suggestion stemmed from the fact that Kanye is following the Cyberpunk 2077 account on Twitter. Meanwhile, fans wondered if a Lady Gaga cameo could be on the cards after the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account responded to a Lady Gaga tweet from years ago. Music from either artists would compliment the game's world but these choices may be too expected to be what Momot is referring to.

Cyberpunk 2077 is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
