It seems like last week's small uproar over the lack of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay featured at Gamescom could've been avoided with just a little more patience. This morning CD Projekt Red kicked off a surprise Twitch stream sharing a video of hands-on gameplay from the upcoming first-person RPG.

After a mysterious Twitch stream started this morning, the community collectively had its fingers crossed that gameplay footage was on the way and it seems the hunch was correct. The Cyberpunk 2077 footage itself appears to be the same walkthrough that took place behind closed doors at E3. That's not necessarily a bad thing, considering the fact that most people didn't have a chance to see the footage at the special event.

Here's a look at the livestream for those who want to catch up or watch live...

The stream covers a ton of content from character creation to gunplay to city exploration. There's a ton to digest, so we expect the community to revisit this demo tons of times until the next set of official details about the game are released.

Check back for more details and updates as we tear apart the stream to find every little detail worth exploring. Until then, here's hoping a release date is also coming in the near future.

Cyberpunk 2077 currently lacks an official release date, but is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
