Although CD Projekt Red has been mostly silent on the status of Cyberpunk 2077 since its delay back in January, a financial report has given fans more insight about its status. In the report, CD Projekt Red claims that it is "carrying out the final stages of development" for the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for a September release, and given this news, it seems as though things are on track. With the game almost done with development, it should be only a matter of time before the announcement is made that it has gone gold as well.

The game will also be launching on next-generation consoles once those release this holiday season, so fans will have to make the decision to either get it when it releases or wait for the release on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

It's possible that with this news getting out in a sort of unofficial way that CD Projekt Red will make an official announcement about the game's status soon. Other interesting things found on the report include CD Projekt Red's claim that Cyberpunk 2077 is its "most expansive RPG to date," which is a bold claim coming from the studio responsible for The Witcher 3.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available September 17th for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
