Cyberpunk 2077 fan film is in the works, and the first teaser of the project has just been revealed. The teaser itself shows an incredibly high production level paired with great choreography and costumes, but digging deeper into the phenomenon, it isn't hard to see why.

The Cyberpunk 2077 fan film is being directed by veteran action director and coordinator Vi-Dan Tran, who is known for such works as Into the Badlands which was praised for its fight scene choreography. The actors involved in the film are all well known cosplayers, and have lent their skills to creating amazing costumes for the project.

This teaser trailer for the film, titled Cyberpunk 2077: Phoenix Program, shows all of this off, and it seems that there is no shortage of excitement between the creators, Cyberpunk 2o77 devs, and fans of the series alike. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no indication of when the film will actually release, as the Coronavirus has stalled filming efforts.

It is great to see the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 supporting this kind of creativity from its fanbase, as there are many creators that would likely shoot something like this down on account of copyright issues and the like. Perhaps the biggest reaction from fans in the comments is utter shock that something of this quality could be fan made. For those that haven't seen the teaser yet, it is highly recommended to watch it above. With the game coming out September this year, it is possible that the fan film will release before or around that time.

This should help to hold fans over while waiting for the release of the actual Cyberpunk 2077 game, which though announced a while ago, was delayed until September. Following the Inside Xbox Gameplay Reveal, many were disappointed to not see any gameplay from Cyberpunk 2077 (or anything at all, for that matter), so anything is much appreciated at this point. Of course, that didn't stop fans in the comments from asking for more gameplay or trailers for the actual game itself.

There is absolutely no doubt that creativity has been at an all time high recently. Whether that's a result of the Coronavirus pandemic keeping people at home or just a natural phenomenon, it has spurred some truly amazing creations from gamers lately. Whether it is fan made films such as this, recreations of real life locations in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or remade scenes from movies in Dreams, players continue to impress.

CyberPunk 2077 releases September 17th on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with an Xbox Series X version also in development.
