Quickhacks are perhaps the most useful and powerful tools at the player’s disposal in Cyberpunk 2077. The better Quickhacks take a lot of RAM and a strong Cyberdeck, but it’s a solid way to make the player more capable in and out of combat in this RPG.

Yet it takes quite a bit of time and grinding to get to the point to craft the more advanced Quickhacks so knowing which are best is important. Every player’s situation will be different of course, but here’s a ranking of every Quickhack in the game based on their usefulness.

26 Steal Data

Cyberpunk 2077 Steal Data

The player will do a lot of hacking to obtain information for missions. As a result the Steal Data Quickhack is going to be the most utilized on the list. But at the same time it is only for this niche use.

25 Remote Deactivation

Cyberpunk 2077 Remote Deactivation

Remote Deactivation enables the player to manipulate the basic functions of various devices. Some common examples include opening and closing doors or turning cameras on and off. It’s a handy Quichack for maneuverability but won’t do much for the player in a firefight.

24 Camera Control

Cyberpunk 2077 Camera Control

Camera Control allows a player to gain access to a camera remotely and control it’s actions. This is a great way to obtain intel, spot enemies, or track targets. For players wanting to remain undetected it’s handy, but once detected it has limited use.

23 Distract Enemies

Cyberpunk 2077 Distract Enemies

The Distract Enemies Quickhack causes various devices to malfunction. Essentially it short circuits objects like lights, forklifts, and other things to behave erratically and draw attention to itself. It’s a nice way to evade detection or start an attack, but there are far more useful Quickhacks to employ.

22 Whistle

Cyberpunk 2077 Whistle

The Whistle Quickhack can lure opponents to the player’s location in and out of combat. It’s handy for luring lone enemies to an ambush spot or draw foes out of cover during fights.

21 Request Backup

Cyberpunk 2077 Squad (Request Backup)

Request Backup is similar to Whistle, but it causes the enemy to respond to a call for Backup.

The Epic version of this Quickhack allows the player to do this action in combat. Functionally there’s little difference other than to draw enemies out.

20 Initiate Overload

Cyberpunk 2077 Initate Overload Arcade Machine

Initiate Overload allows the player to hack into a device and destroy it. This can be a great way to take out troublesome turrets, turn off cameras, or remove other barriers. The reason it ranks low is because it’s far better to hijack the device for personal use with other Quickhacks.

19 Assist Mode

Cyberpunk 2077 Turret (Assist Mode)

Assist Mode is a Quickhack that causes turrets to prioritize targets tagged by the player. It doesn’t place them under the player’s control, but it can draw the heat off the player temporarily. The hack only works on turrets.

18 Take Control

Cyberpunk 2077 Computer (Take Control)

Take Control is a Quickhack that allows the player to remotely take control of turrets and computers. This is a great way to thin out the herd with a turret or cause chaos with a computer from a safe location. It’s a nice way to soften enemies before entering a secure location.

17 Friendly Mode

Cyberpunk 2077 Security Gate (Friendly Mode)

Friendly Mode will cause turrets, cameras, explosives, and security gates to treat the player as if they’re an ally. For subtly entering a location this makes it immensely easier as security measures won’t trigger. It will also cause those same security measures to work on the players behalf and take out enemies.

16 Breach Protocol

Cyberpunk 2077 Breach Protocol

Breach Protocol will tear through an enemy or devices ICE and make them more vulnerable to a Quichack. While not necessarily useful on its own it is incredibly useful in combination with many Quickhacks. In fact, players intending to use Intelligence Skills in general should automatically put this one on their loadout.

15 Ping

Cyberpunk 2077 Ping

Ping is a useful Quichack for any player’s arsenal. It causes enemies attached to the network to be revealed and taggable by the player no matter where they are. It’s great for situational awareness and keeping tags on targets.

14 Sonic Shock

Cyberpunk 2077 Sonic Shock

The Sonic Shock Quickhack will deafen targets so they can’t hear anything making it easier to sneak during things like recover gigs. At higher rarities it can prevent them from communicating with allies on any level. Legendary causes targets to be removed from the network when under the effect of any Quickhack. It’s a great way to isolate targets and pick them off without tipping others off.

13 Reboot Optics

Cyberpunk 2077 Reboot Optics

Reboot Optics at Uncommon will make a target temporarily blind. The Rare version causes this to spread to another enemy in 8 meters.

Epic increases the duration. Legendary will unlock the Optics Jammer Deamon when using Breach Protocol. Fighting or sneaking past blind enemies is incredibly handy especially with some Cool Skills.

12 Memory Wipe

Cyberpunk 2077 Memory Wipe

Memory Wipe will force targets to exit their Combat State. The epic version will cause an entire squad to leave Combat State. This essentially nullifies a fight for a solid 13.5 seconds allowing the player to get away or recover for the next attack.

11 Weapon Glitch

Cyberpunk 2077 Weapon Glitch

Weapon Glitch as an Uncommon Quickhack causes a target’s weapon to jam, lose accuracy, ability to penetrate obstacles, and even disrupts tracing. The Rare version causes a second enemy in 8 meters to suffer the same problem. At Epic the Quickhack causes the weapon to explode damaging the wielder. Forcing the enemy to engage in a fist fight can be really helpful.

10 Detonate Grenade

Cyberpunk 2077 Detonate Grenade

Detonate Grenade will cause the enemy’s grenade to detonate on their person. Different grenades cause different effects resulting in massive damage, blinding, EMP blast, and more. It is situational which is why it doesn’t rank higher and the player will want some Technical Skills to avoid the blast, but it works.

9 Cripple Movement

Cyberpunk 2077 Cripple Movement

The Cripple Movement Quickhack prevents enemies from moving at lower levels and at Epic prevents them from even attacking. They’re effectively sitting ducks that can’t retaliate. The Legendary level causes enemies under Quickhack to  be unable to spring, great for fast enemies like Netrunners.

8 System Reset

Cyberpunk 2077 System Reset

System Reset causes the target to lose consciousness and they won’t make any noise when collapsing. This is great for taking down problematic targets or leaving a lone enemy utterly exposed for the player to take them out, especially in melee combat.

7 Suicide

Cyberpunk 2077 Suicide

Suicide is a brutal Quickhack that causes the target to commit suicide once hacked. The Legendary version will cause the event to induce Panic in nearby allies. One Quickhack can take down a target and cause chaos with their friends. The problem is many high level enemies are immune to this ability.
