It has been quite a while since the video game developer CD Projekt Red provided players with their first look at Cyberpunk 2077 after publicly revealing its behind-closed-doors gameplay demo from E3 2018. Now, it appears as if the studio is set to offer another glimpse at how far along the forthcoming first-person RPG's production has come since then, with the company confirming that the game will be at E3 2019.

As of now, there's no telling exactly how Cyberpunk 2077's appearance at this year's E3 will come to be, but there's a good chance the game could be shown off during Microsoft's Xbox press conference for the event due to that having been the case in 2018. It's also unclear as to what exactly CD Projekt Red has planned to showcase at the expo, with such possibilities including a cinematic trailer, more gameplay, or perhaps even a hands-on booth for E3 attendees to try a playable build of the game.

With Cyberpunk 2077 having a presence at E3 2019, there's also the prospect of CD Projekt Red using the event to finally confirm an official release date for the highly anticipated project, with the studio having yet to commit to a launch day for the current-gen of hardware. Of course, this is merely speculation at this point, especially since the developer has been adamant in the past to say that the game will come out "when it's ready".

Concrete details regarding the game itself has been scant as of late, with one of the most recent pieces of information regarding Cyberpunk 2077 being that CD Projekt Red doesn't intend on releasing a beta for potential players. Odds are this won't come as much of a surprise to many, as the first-person RPG has been designed primarily as a single-player experience. What's more is that the developer has stated there won't be multiplayer at launch, so CD Projekt Red likely wouldn't benefit too much from a public testing phase.

Bearing all of this in mind, it will be interesting to see just what CD Projekt Red has in store for Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019, as the event will give the developer a large platform to deliver more specifics of what else players should expect from the title. Until then, though, we will have to sit tight until later this year to find out more.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but lacks an official release date.
