Less than a month remains until Cyberpunk 2077 finally launches after years of hype. CD Projekt RED has shown a lot of the open-world sci-fi RPG in the leadup to its release, but given the sheer scale and insane amount of detail in Cyberpunk 2077, it’s not at all far-fetched to think that it may still have a few big surprises to reveal. If word around the rumor mill this week is to be believed, one of these surprises may have something to do with Dr Disrespect.

The popular streamer has been in the spotlight a lot following his controversial ban from Twitch earlier this year and subsequent move to YouTube. In recent times, he’s also become known for sharing his reactions to the latest Cyberpunk 2077 reveals, and while that may seem like just another influencer expressing their excitement for the game, a recent Twitter post suggests there may be more to it in his case.

On October 19, CD Projekt RED tweeted a post noting that Cyberpunk 2077 was just one month away from launch. Retweeting that post, Dr Disrespect teased that he has something planned revolving around the game. “Just wait until you see what we have planned,” he wrote. “Next level.”

The vague wording could mean anything, but the post got the Doc’s fans wondering if he’s partnering with CD Projekt RED in some official capacity. There is a precedent for this, as just last week Hi-Rez Studios’ hero shooter Rogue Company added an official Dr Disrespect-themed skin and map. This puts a similar collaboration with Cyberpunk in the realm of possibility, and would certainly be “next level” as he put it.

What this potential collaboration could look like is anyone’s guess for the time being. The game could conceivably follow Rogue Company’s example and add a Dr Disrespect cosmetic, or even include his internet persona as an NPC for players to encounter in Night City. At any rate, including Dr Disrespect in some shape or form is something many would consider on par with Cyberpunk 2077’s inclusion of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand.

It should only take a few weeks for fans to find out what’s up with the Doc and Cyberpunk 2077, but fans will have more to look forward to beyond that. Dr Disrespect is releasing an official memoir early next year, and it will offer an in-depth look at how he came to find success as a streamer. That being said, it’s already been confirmed that the book won’t touch upon the fiasco with his Twitch ban.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on November 19 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. Dedicated PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are slated to come out in 2021.
