While Cyberpunk 2077 has had its share of issues since it launched, gamers who have been reluctant to purchase CD Projekt Red's latest game can get it for half the MSRP right now. Perhaps because of those launch issues, which led to refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 users, this is one of a couple times the game has gotten a deep discount in the last few months.

Since Cyberpunk 2077 launched, users have pointed out one bug or glitch after another. Some of those bugs have been more severe than others. But there's been enough problem with the game that after refunds were offered by both Sony and Microsoft, Sony has not put the game back on its digital store.

The inability to purchase a digital copy of Cyberpunk 2077 could be added incentive to take advantage of the price drop at Best Buy. The retailer is offering physical copies of both the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game for just $29.99 at the moment. Both versions include access to the upgraded next-generation version of the game, when it goes live.

Of course, even with a physical copy of CDPR's latest, there could still be problems playing it on the PS5. At least a few users are claiming that an update that was meant to fix some bugs has in fact, added new ones. Those users claim the game is basically unplayable on the PlayStation 5, or at least was when update 1.2 launched. A bit of good news for those looking to buy this discounted version of the game on the Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S is that only PS5 users have reported the problem with the latest update.

CD Project Red appears to have been working hard to address issues that have popped up in Cyberpunk 2077 since its launch. Update 1.2 is just the latest attempt to iron out the bugs that have been prevalent since day one.

However, the company has also continued to identify problems. Some of those problems have even led the company to consider changing its Cyberpunk 2077 plans. That's led to a delay of DLC and the official next-generation update that were both supposed to come earlier this year. However, some in the community have been heartened by the fact that CDPR continues working on its newest project, rather than apparently just walking away. Among other messages about its dedication to making things better, the company has laid out a roadmap on when and how it plans on making the game better over the next year.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Xbox One, and PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility.
