Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated games of E3 2019 was Cyberpunk 2077, and the role-playing game did not disappoint. Not only did the new E3 trailer reveal that Keanu Reeves was playing a major role in the game, but the John Wick actor himself appeared on stage to announce Cyberpunk 2077's release date. Another unannounced reveal came in the form of the game's digital download size shortly after on the PS4 pre-order page.

If it is to be believed, then Cyberpunk 2077 has the potential to be an absolute monster concerning game size. According to the aforementioned page, the digital download size requires a MINIMUM of 80 GB on PS4, but the Xbox One page only lists the pre-order hold download size of a few MBs. The full download size won't be available until the game goes gold, or until it is confirmed by CD Projekt Red, but this reveal does fall into the realm of possibility.

For example, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolutely huge game, and it required 107 GB on Xbox One and 99 GB on PS4. CD Projekt Red's previous release, The Witcher 3, only required around 40 GB, meaning that Cyberpunk 2077 could easily be double the size and scope. It's even possible that it surpasses RDR2, especially given that the 80 GB size is listed as a minimum requirement.

This could also be some type of mistake, so this news should be taken with a healthy grain of salt. However, Cyberpunk 2077 has touted revolutionary features in the past, with some of these said to not even appear in other games. Between the impressive graphics, the locale of Night City, and the load of features that could appear in the game, the size may not actually be that big of a surprise.

The game description for Cyberpunk 2077 also gives players a small glimpse into the game's story, as it states that players will be stealing the "implant that grants eternal life." Many are interpreting this as the method that Keanu Reeves character Johnny Silverhand is still alive in 2077, after having reportedly died in 2024. That remains to be seen, but it does fit into the established lore of Cyberpunk 2077.
