CD Projekt Red has made it clear that it has no plans for a Cyberpunk 2077 beta, after a series of scam emails appeared offering players a chance to try the upcoming sci-fi title ahead of its November launch.

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account made clear this morning that the recent emails promising beta access to the game were not legitimate. The developer clarified that any official communication would come from the official CDProjektRed.com address, and never from a third-party.

The company also stated that there currently are no plans for a demo or beta for their upcoming title. Though with four more months until its launch, it's unknown whether this might change later down the road.

Coming from the same developer of the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most anticipated games to be releasing this year. Originally announced way back in 2013, at the very start of the new console generation and two years before Witcher 3 was even released, the company first teased its new futuristic open-world project. Now seven years later and at the very end of the console generation, the highly anticipated title will finally make its debut. Cyberpunk 2077 has gone through quite the exciting development cycle, to say the least.

Cyberpunk 2077 has gone through delays multiple times, with it originally planned for an April 14 release date. The game first got delayed until September 17, and then again with a new release date of November 19. The game is supposedly one of the biggest and most elaborate open-world games, with CD Projekt Red stating its hope to set a new benchmark for RPGs with the title.

The title has gone through so many iterations, with CD Projek making clear how big of a perfectionist it is. If a beta were to release, it would surely have to meet the company's incredibly high standards. But even if the title does not get a beta ahead of its release, fans will surely be just as excited to finally get their hands on the finished product when it drops this holiday season for major consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases on November 19 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
