Cyberpunk 2077 has been a rollercoaster ever since it was announced a decade ago. From delay after delay, the game was basically unplayable at launch which hurt Cyberpunk 2077 initially. However, after a year of working on the game to fix issues, CD Projekt Red has put Cyberpunk 2077 in a much better spot now, and players can appreciate how it is supposed to be. Because of the newest patch and newer consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 has certainly capitalized on using the next-gen upgrade that both the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 offer, and these upgrades aren't just for visuals but also for balancing gameplay which ultimately makes Cyberpunk 2077 better.

The rebalancing has impacted Cyberpunk 2077 positively. For example, many guns are now not hindering gameplay and the mods that get attached to them don't ruin the effects. One mod that showcases how differently each gun behaves is the scopes. Since they help the player's accuracy and increase the weapon's damage, this list should help players pick the best scopes Cyberpunk 2077 has to offer post-patch 1.5.

Updated on July 28, 2022 By Raza Malik: As Cyberpunk 2077 becomes fully realized, players can have tons to look forward to. Even though the game has had tons of issues, it sold quite well, and players who stuck with it will be able to find the game significantly better now. One of the things players can explore now is the scopes that can be attached to most ranged weapons. Initially, as the game itself performed poorly, so did most of the guns and their attachments. Now, in the post-1.5 patch world, these guns work better. With that, players can now use all the scopes, since CD Projekt Red not only fixed their game but also balanced it.

10 OS-GimletEye

cyberpunk 2077 player driving car in water

This scope features no bells and whistles. Unlike the other scopes in Cyberpunk 2077, it doesn't need any. The OS-GimletEye is the perfect scope for players who want high accuracy and headshots. The scope is best used for pistols because it works best in close-quarter combat. While players may opt for using a shotgun, they'll find it more useful on a gun that benefits from going into the ADS mode quicker.

Pairing it with any pistol, provided players have upgraded it, and using one of the best mods they can get from the Ripper Doc, like the Synaptic Accelerator, players can become a threat. They can use a pistol equipped with the OS-GimletEye to quickly get headshots, and easily escape. Getting the Os-GimletEye is thankfully straightforward since it's a rather common scope for enemy drops. Alternatively, players can go to any vendor located in Night City.

9 Gaki

cyberpunk 2077 npc looking onward Cropped

Sniper scopes in Cyberpunk 2077 are usually quite deadly, and if players are creating a build around that, then sniping becomes even more lucrative. Players may want to fight from a distance, which makes them fight more aggressively since they know enemies won't be in their face. The Gaki scope has a pretty good zoom level, up to 3x. This makes the sniper even more appealing.

To give this scope a punch, players should look into pairing it with a good sniper, or upgrading one to make it powerful enough. To get the Gaki scope, players must complete the Shoot to Thrill activity in the Megabulding where V lives. From there, players need to talk to Robert Wilson, who will often have it in his store.

8 Jue

cyberpunk-2077-player-driving-the-car-from-the-inside-view

This sniper scope is best for players who want to challenge themselves while playing Cyberpunk 2077. While it is not as impactful and does not have the same zoom level the Gaki scope has, it still can do what players need. A bit after the start of the game, players will be informed that people have been losing their minds and need to be killed or pacified. These are called Cyberpsychos, and they are very powerful and take a while to be put down. The best way for players to get rid of these cybercriminals is by fighting them from a distance.

While many scopes can work, the Jue sniper scope does the best against these enemies, and it's cheaper than most sniper scopes. Players will be getting better scopes as they play, so the Jue is great for starting out. It gives players the practice they need if they want to build a character around sniping. Just like the Gaki scope, players will be able to get it after they've done the Shoot to Thrill activity, where Robert Wilson should have it.

7 Mk. 2x Grandstand

cyberpunk 2077 npcs walking around

This long scope can make any assault rifle incredibly efficient at a range. While playing in the Badlands, where there is a lot of dust and debris, players should look into finding this scope. The Mk. 2x Grandstand is quite impressive for what it can do, while at the same time not having over-the-top gimmicks. Players may see an increase in their accuracy, and with conditions that are not the best, this scope makes the holder deadlier. A built-in range finder increases accuracy even more, allowing players to snipe more fluidly.

However, players should note that using this scope for close-quarters isn't the best, as the ADS is rather slow. Players should only opt for using this scope at a distance, which may be its downfall because of its limited use. On the other hand, players who use this scope correctly will see improvements overall. This scope is also easy to get. All players need to do is loot fallen enemies, and they may stumble across the Mk. 2x Grandstand.

6 Kanetsugu

cyberpunk 2077 character looking onward sitting on his bike

This is a very interesting scope. While featuring a zoom, it lets players fire their pistols in the different mods. Pairing this scope with the right pistol highlights Cyberpunk 2077's creative combat system. With its above average ADS time, players can easily win any close combat fight, thanks to increased accuracy. Since the scope itself is holographic, players can easily see what's around them while looking down the sight.

This makes close combat fighting much easier. Switching the fire function allows players to conserve more ammo and be more accurate if they are using burst fire mode. Getting this incredibly good scope is easy, provided players want to wait for it. Just like the Jue and the Gaki, the Kanetsugu can be bought from Robert Wilson, after players have done his Shoot to Thrill mission.

5 E305 Prospecta

cyberpunk 2077 character making heart sign

The E305 Prospecta is probably one of the best attachments players can get, and for good reason. Since this scope works best on long range weapons, players will hit more powerful headshots from a distance thanks to the latest patch that has heightened the scope's attributes. Players will be able to take down enemies quickly, especially if the weapon has effects like burning damage. Allowing the player to hit the target more frequently also allows for more chance of crit damage.

For players looking to get the E305 Prospecta, there are two options. It can be bought from one of the many vendors in Night City. Alternatively, if players don't want to spend mone, they can do the first reported crime in The Glen, which awards players with the scope.

4 Hyakume

cyberpunk 2077 hayakum

The Hyakume offers a lot for players who want to get rid of enemies as quickly as possible. Since most long-range attacks are done by headshot, players should equip this to any long-range weapon. Since players are going to be using this for headshots, having a mod accompany this scope can make any long-ranged weapon deadly. Players should look into getting a mod like the Vendetta mod which increases headshot damage overall.

With that damage boost, players can fight more easily. Players who have the Vendetta mod, as well as the Hyakume and a somewhat good long-range weapon, will be getting those crits more often, allowing them to level up quicker. The best part about getting the Hyakume is that players don't need to do anything special. All they need to do is find a vendor in the city, and it'll be there for players to buy.

3 Type 2067

cyberpunk 2077 johnny silver hand Cropped

Those who use the Type 2067 will find their playstyle much different from players who aren't using it. Since players can change up how they fight in Cyberpunk 2077, they can create unique ways to take down enemies. The Type 2067 is for the player who wants to play more aggressively and to be a part of the action more often than not. This scope works on close to medium range weapons. However, if players are armed with one of the better pistols like the Skippy, then fighting becomes easier.

The scope itself can get better, provided players create a build around pistols and use the better guns like Skippy. While not as impactful as other scopes, like the Hyakume, players will notice that at a closer range, the Type 2067 performs well by attacking the limbs and getting those headshots. Acquiring this scope is quite easy, since many of the vendors located throughout the city will have at least one in their inventory per day.

2 SO-21 Saika

cyberpunk 2077 player looking at their weapon

This is one of the more diverse scopes, meaning players can apply it to a wide variety of guns and each will receive a different benefit. However, putting this scope on a machine gun while having the "Crunch" mod equipped with the "Easy Out" perk is most likely the best choice for the SO-21 Saika.

The SO-21 Saika is good at most ranges, but its accuracy boost shines at medium-range. With the "Crunch" mod, the scope can end up being super deadly. If players want to be a bit more aggressive, they might want to put it on a shotgun, which also increases the damage overall. Much like the rest of the scopes on this list, getting it is easy. Players can find it in the vendors and from fallen enemies.

1 HPO Mk.77

cyberpunk 2077 night city from vs apartment

This scope is exclusively for sniper rifles within Cyberpunk 2077 with a zoom-in that goes pretty far. Players will get high-damage kills with ease. Since the HPO Mk.77 is good for snipers, headshots are one of the many things this scope is good for. The many benefits that come pre-installed on this scope will help players get those kills as quickly as possible.

With the range finder improving accuracy, players will have little to no issue with the HPO Mk.77, since the sniper rifles are quite powerful. If players have a tech weapon, the HPO Mk.77 tells players what the charge level is. This helps players figure out their shots and make those shots count. Being one of the better scopes, players would assume that they would need to do something complicated in order to acquire it. Thankfully though, players can simply buy it from the various vendors in the city.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on the Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia.
