While it's impossible to ignore the controversies surrounding its launch, it's hard to deny Cyberpunk 2o77 has a lot of content for players to dig into. Some of the side quests in the games are called gigs and most gigs have a specific focus for the kinds of missions players are tasked with completing.

It comes as no surprise that Saboteur gigs involve sabotaging specific targets. Some of these gigs require a minimum amount of street cred before they become available. These gigs can look simple on the surface but going in unprepared can result in players missing out on maximum rewards.

Warning: Cyberpunk 2077 currently has a large number of glitches that can cause issues for gigs. Gigs occasionally will not spawn and players can attempt to sleep for a full 24 hours in V's apartment or save and completely exit the game to try and fix this. Make sure that gigs are actually completed once they are finished. If they are not listed as complete, players should go back to a previous save file and try to attempt the gig again.

A Lack Of Empathy

A Lack of Empathy

Players will need a street cred level of one before this gig becomes available. Players are tasked with uploading a virus to Empathy's subnet. Players have the option of completing this gig without getting into combat. We'll be assuming players want to do this for this walkthrough as it makes the gig much easier.

  • Entering The Club - Players have the option of entering the club through the front but the gig becomes much harder without weapons. We recommend going around the building and finding a walkway V can jump up to. Players then can quickhack to open the door or just bust through the door if they have a high enough body ability.
  • Upload The Virus - Entering through the walkway takes players directly to the room they need to be in where they can easily upload the virus.

From here, players can easily slip back out of the building and pick up their reward from a drop point to complete the gig.

A Shrine Defiled

A Shrine Defiled

Players will need a street cred level of twenty before this gig becomes available. Players are tasked with placing a wiretap on a shrine controlled by the Tyger Claws. It is optional to remain undetected for this gig but as it makes it much easier to complete, we will assume players are trying to achieve this for this walkthrough.

  • Enter The Shrine - The main area of the shrine is open to the public but players have a choice of two alleyways to get to their objective. The entrance to the right requires a high technical ability to enter while the entrance to the left has no such requirements.
  • Stealth Is Key - Either way, players will encounter several security cameras they need to disable along the way that they need to watch out for. Players also can take down a guard who's easy to distract with a nearby machine.

Once players get past the cameras and guard, they will walk through a set of double doors where they can install malware onto a computer. Once players sneak back out of the building they will receive a phone call from Wakako that completes the gig.

Breaking News

Players will need a street cred level of twenty-one before this gig becomes available. It's optional to remain undetected in this gig but it's far easier than running and gunning so there's little reason not to take a stealthy approach.

  • Go For A Drive - Players meet up with news reporter Ted Fox who will explain the gig during the drive to the location. Once players park, it's time to sneak inside.
  • Don't Get Caught - Players can go left of the billboard in the area where there are boxes they can climb on to reach the roof of the building. Players then can enter through the last window on the building. There are only two enemies to take out inside and neither are close together leaving them as easy targets for V.

After planting the tracker, players must exit the building the same way they came in. El Captain will call the player with a drop point where they can collect their rewards and complete the gig.

Catch A Tyger’s Toe

Catch A Tyger’s Toe

Players will need a street cred level of one before this gig becomes available. Players will need to sneak past some Tygers to upload malware onto the subnet of the H11 megabuilding.

  • Sneak In, Sneak Out - This gig is relatively simple, only requiring players to disable security cameras while being careful to not get caught by the Tygers patrolling the area. Their pattern is simple and easy to avoid. Players will come across an enemy in a braindance who they can simply ignore while they upload the malware.

Once the malware is uploaded, players will need to sneak out the way they came in while avoiding the patrols. Once players go back up the elevator, the gig will complete.

Error 404

Error 404

Players will need a street cred level of one before this gig becomes available. Players are tasked with uploading malware to stop propaganda against mayoral candidate Weldon Holt.

  • Entering Garage 66 - It's initially easy to enter the garage complex with only a single guard and camera standing in V's way. From here, things get trickier. Players will need to head to the left until they find a lift, activating it so they can be lifted up to the roof. Players then head left once more while avoiding being spotted by snipers on the roof until they can find their way inside.
  • Enemies Spotted - There will be a lot of enemies by the entrance but if the player is patient they naturally disperse on their own making it easy for players to get inside and install the malware.

From here, players should take things slow and be patient to avoid the guards on their way back out. Once players stealthy escape the area, the gig will be completed.

Flying Drugs

Flying Drugs

Players will need a street cred level of one before this gig becomes available. Players must take down an antenna that thieves are using to track down drones making drug shipments.

  • Use Stealth - It's recommended players use stealth over brute force when entering the restricted area. Players that go to the southern area of the stronghold will find an open gate for V to slip inside with only a single security camera to disable near the door. From here, players need to avoid or incapacitate the guards as they climb up the tower while disabling one more camera
  • Destroy The Antenna - Players have two options for destroying the antenna. If they have a high enough technical ability they can simply turn off its power. Otherwise, it's time to hulk smash (or just quickhack) that antenna into oblivion!

Once players have destroyed the antenna, they'll want to remain cautious as they sneak out as they are still in hostile territory. Once they escape, they'll receive a call from Dakota. Answering that call will complete this gig.

Hacking The Hacker

Hacking The Hacker

Players will need a street cred level of twenty-one before this gig becomes available. Players will be infecting a 6th Street computer with a virus while potentially killing Lucius Thoran. While killing Lucius is optional it's so easy to kill him that there's little point in skipping out.

  • Sneak In The Hideout - There's only one way to be a bit stealthier when entering the hideout. Players can find a window in a room to the right of the elevator they can go through to avoid a few enemies.
  • Focus On The Objective - There are multiple paths the player can take but there's little reason to not just go up towards the objective where Lucius can be killed and the virus uploaded with relative ease.

Players that got into combat will find a few extra enemies to take down when they exit but they are trivial and die easily. Once V reaches the drop point for their reward, the gig is completed.

The Heisenberg Principle

The Heisenberg Principle

Players will need a street cred level of eight before this gig becomes available. Players will be tasked with taking out a factory creating one of the most dangerous and addictive drugs on the streets: Glitter.

  • Guns Blazing - This mission does not require stealth, so players that want to go in and destroy these drug peddlers are absolutely free to do so. It usually takes two shots apiece to take out the machinery that makes the Glitter.
  • Silent Sneak - Players also can upload malware to a computer to make the machinery inoperable. This requires a much more stealthy approach with many guards to sneak by, a door that requires high technical ability to get through, and then sneaking back out again. We recommend blasting these jerks off the face of the planet. It's far more satisfying!

Whichever option players choose, the gig will be complete once they leave the lab where the Glitter was being produced.

Welcome To America, Comrade

Welcome To America, Comrade

Players will need a street cred level of one before this gig becomes available. V needs to place a tracker on Mikhail Akulov’s car in this gig.

  • Force Or Stealth? - It's not difficult to kill the enemies in Kabuki on the docks but players that prefer a less violent approach have options too. The north-east corner of the docks has a gate that can be opened if a player has a high enough technical ability. If players take down the security camera it's as easy as using a silenced sniper to take down anyone in their way.

Once players spot the open blue container, they can place the tracker on the vehicle inside before they sneak back out of the area. Once players leave the area, this gig is complete.
