Earlier this month, Overwatch kicked off Season 10 of Competitive Play, bringing with it a new meta. Unsurprisingly, the new meta appears to favor the support hero Brigitte, who is enjoying her Competitive Play debut in Season 10.

According to YouTube channel Your Overwatch, the new meta in Overwatch for Season 10 of Competitive Play is the triple support meta. More specifically, Your Overwatch recommends that players utilize newcomer Brigitte, Zenyatta, and Lucio as their three support heroes, with Reinhardt and Zarya as tanks, and Hanzo as the "heavy hitter DPS."

Check out Your Overwatch's full explanation of the triple support meta (and how to counter it) in Overwatch right here:

Of course, there are some other factors to take into mind before players utilize the triple support meta team composition. As detailed by Your Overwatch, there are numerous ways to counter this comp, especially on maps where players can utilize high ground. By utilizing high ground on maps like Hollywood, players will make it difficult to keep Reinhardt and Zarya as effective members of the team. In these instances, players will want to think of substitute tanks to put in their place.

Something else to keep in mind is that updates to Overwatch could have a major impact on the triple support meta moving forward. Blizzard updates the Overwatch heroes all the time, sometimes even completely reworking characters in the game. If Blizzard makes any big changes while Season 10 is going on, then the triple support meta could be replaced by another meta entirely.

Until then, though, the triple support meta seems to offer a viable strategy for those hoping to score some wins in Season 10 of Overwatch's Competitive Play. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see what other strategies are developed in the future, and what ways players think of to counter the current meta.

Overwatch is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
