Beyond its challenging gameplay, the thing that stands out most about indie darling Cuphead is its beautifully-realized hand-drawn world, which looks like it was ripped straight from the theatrical cartoons of the 1930s. It’s a distinct world that lends itself well to other visual mediums, as Netflix's upcoming TV series can attest, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to know that Cuphead is branching out into comics too.

Dark Horse Comics got the ball rolling earlier this month with the release of the first graphic novel starring StudioMDHR’s mascot, Cuphead: Comic Capers & Curios, and today, IGN announced that a follow-up, Cuphead Vol. 2: Cartoon Chronicles & Calamities, is set to come out on March 2, 2021, priced at $10.99. The announcement also came with an exclusive look at the novel’s cover and a handful of pages.
