Pilgrim's Passage is a quaint, cozy seaside community that players can visit while playing Cult of the Lamb. Visitors are drawn to its friendly residents, scenic ocean view, artisan vendors, and great fishing, and they might even see the famous Lamb of local cult leader fame wandering along the dock.

More locations open on the map as the Lamb progresses through the game, but this is one of the first ones the player can visit. There's a lot to do here, and it helps to have a handy guidebook to inform new cult leaders.

How To Find Pilgrim's Passage

The Fisherman in Darwood Cult of the Lamb

The Lamb's first encounter with the Fisherman will be in Darkwood on their way to kill Bishop Leshy. He'll tell the Lamb this is his fishing spot, and there's no room for sharing, but he'll direct the player to a better one.

This is when Pilgrim's Passage will appear on the map. It will be the second location that appears after the Lonely Shack of Ratau.

Available Resources

In addition to the lovely scenery of this area, there are practical reasons to visit this place as well. Players can gather the following items in Pilgrim's Passage.

  • Fish: The most obvious place to find fish, the Lamb can also acquire this resource from enemy drops and chests during Crusade runs, but it's easier and more fun to fish for them from the dock. Rare fish and other treasures also come from the fishing minigame.
  • Berries: There are a few Berry bushes here if the Lamb has hungry followers but few or no farm plots at this early stage. These Berries can be harvested, but not cultivated or planted.
  • Wood: There are a few trees the Lamb can chop down here, which is handy because the locals need fuel for their fire.
  • Stone: Mine the few small stone outcroppings for some extra Stone, but there's less of this resource here than others.

A Guide To Pilgrim's Passage

The first time players visit Pilgrim's Passage, it will be empty except for the Fisherman, who is standing on the dock. Naturally, he's fishing, and that's all he does. The Lighthouse isn't lit, and the vendor stalls are shuttered and dark. It's up to the power of the Lamb to bring this place back to light.

The Lighthouse

The pilgrims that travel here will come by ship, but now their leader has disappeared and the Lighthouse is dark. Bring along a few handfuls of Wood when first visiting; this way, the Lamb can re-fill the stove and re-light the fire. This also unlocks a new, unique follower form, the axolotl.

Return the light to the Pilgrims, and the Lighthouse Keeper and his Pilgrims will pledge fealty to the Lamb. The player can now collect a modest amount of divinity from the small shrine inside the Lighthouse.

The flame returns to the Lighthouse until the Lamb visits the realm of Anchordeep and starts to find Crystal Shards. Collect enough of these and return to the Lighthouse to replace the open flame with a glowing crystal to further impress the local Pilgrims and gain more loyalty.

The Fisherman

The Fisherman will be the only NPC in Pilgrim's Passage that the Lamb can speak to before the Lighthouse beacon is re-lit. First, he'll give the Lamb a simple quest, to simply catch a fish. As long as the Lamb manages to catch something, even if it's a bit of Grass or Wood, it counts.

Teach a Lamb to fish, and they can do fishing quests. The Fisherman then asks the lamb to bring him a lobster, a squid, a crab, and an octopus. With each find, he rewards the Lamb with a Holy Talisman piece that he can use to make a new and better Red Crown.

The Shops

One vendor sells new blueprints for buildings, decorations, and other structures intended to improve the cult compound. The other vendor unlocks Tarot Cards, a handy resource for Crusading Lambs.

The Garden And Shrine

Unlit Lighthouse Shrine and Garden Pilgrim's Passage

The space immediately behind the Lighthouse contains two garden rows and a wooden shrine with a fish sculpture behind it. These are useful even when the Lighthouse is still dark.

The Lamb can't plant seeds in this garden, but they can harvest mature Berries or any other plants growing from it. The Shrine contains new animal and monster forms for the Lamb's cult followers provided the player has enough Gold to make a suitable offering.

The Dock

According to the Lighthouse Keeper, the original leader of the area has been missing ever since she went for a midnight stroll on this innocent-looking dock. The pattern on the wooden planking that leads to the water is reminiscent of the painted decorations in the dungeons, suggesting she ran afoul of an unfriendly sea creature. The Lighthouse Keeper mentions a monster that lurks in the water after dark, but currently doesn't have any further information.
