What's the first thing to do when starting a cult? A leader needs followers; one way to get a willing flock is to give them free meals. That's also one of many ways to keep cult members happy in Massive Monster's latest release, Cult of The Lamb.

When the Lamb finds new ingredients, a corresponding new recipe will appear in their cookbook that includes the new materials. Daily cooking for the masses is important, and here are the recipes that can keep cultists working, praying, and above all, loyal. Each recipe is rated out of three stars, with three being the best. Lower quality recipes might result in sickness, but higher quality ones increase loyalty and Devotion output.

The super-adorable adherents that populate the Lamb's cult come in a variety of animal forms, sometimes depending on where the player rescues them from, but that has nothing to do with their preferred diet. Some of the Lamb's followers will make odd and disgusting dietary requests, and players will have to concoct vile or even poisonous dishes.

8 Basic Berry Bowl

A nice start to the day, this is one of the best and earliest recipes that players can make. Berries can be harvested from a variety of places, and the player will pick at least a few of them up during their tutorial crusade, along with some handy seeds.

The advantages of the Berry Bowl include the convenience of a single ingredient, just six red berries. Although it's a low-quality meal, it's less likely than others to make followers ill. The downside is that it's rich in fiber. Make sure the Outhouse is already built before serving this up.

7 Grassy Gruel

Before there were berries, there was the humble grass. In the absence of any crops, probably at the very beginning of the game, this is the only type of food available to the cult. It keeps the flock from starving and consists only of grass, which is a resource that's easy to find in virtually every location the Lamb will tread.

Grassy Gruel is, as the description so aptly states, "better than nothing." It has a 25% chance to cause illness, and it's recommended that the flock get sustenance of higher quality when it's available. However, if the flock receives the Grass Easter Doctrine, the negative effects of this dish are negated, making it a lot more useful.

6 Minced Follower Meat

CultOfTheLambSacrifice

The Lamb is going to have to make sacrifices for the sake of the Cult, literally. Whether or not this is the kind of cult where followers are often sacrificed or if it's only for special occasions, the remains of the lucky cultist can be put to further good use.

This recipe needs two ingredients: the meat of a sacrificed cultist and bones. It's a one-star meal that has a 75% chance of making a follower sick, but the dish has some worthwhile benefits. It has a 25% chance of increasing a follower's loyalty and a 40% of stopping them from Dissenting.

5 Pungent Fish Stew

Once the Lamb discovers Pilgrim's Passage, they'll also find the Lighthouse and the Fisherman. Bring some wood to the friendly cultists in the Lighthouse, and they'll light up the wharf, including a handy fishing dock. Minnows, salmon, octopus, and a variety of other potential food is available.

As the name implies, Pungent Fish Stew isn't the most appetizing thing the Lamb can make for his followers. It's only one star, and it won't grant a character any extra Loyalty or Devotion generation, but it's easy to make with just three minnows per bowl.

4 Bowl Of Poop

It doesn't sound like a recipe, but it is, and of course, it's not one of the high-quality choices. The Bowl of Poop has a 50% chance of causing illness and diarrhea, and results in a -20 Faith loss when a follower eats it. However, this disgusting dish has its uses.

Once in a while, a follower might ask the Lamb to help them indulge in a little dream they have: a fantasy of eating poop. The cult leader can indulge them or let the quest expire. This recipe can also be a solution to silencing a pesky dissident, since it can lead to illness or in some cases, death.

3 Cheery Cauliflower Chowder

A hearty meal that has a two-star recipe, this dish has only a 5% chance of causing illness, and there's a 25% chance that the character that consumes it will drop a valuable resource as opposed to some feces or vomit. All that's required is cauliflower, and not many other recipes of this level have only one ingredient.

Cauliflower plants and seeds will start to drop once the lamb has ventured into Anura, the realm of Heket. They can also be purchased from the seed vendor that often appears outside of the entrance to Anchordeep.

2 Modest Mixed Meal

The lower level version of this, the Meager Mixed Meal, is a similar recipe that mixes fish, meat, and veggies. Instead of berries, however, the Modest Mixed Meal contains pumpkins, minnows, and better cuts of meat.

The recipe for a Modest Mixed Meal has two starts and has the power to increase follower loyalty by 20%. "It tastes better than it looks," the description says, and plenty of hearty, home-cooked meals do.

Cult of the Lamb is currently available on both PC and macOS.
