Crysis Remastered Trilogy has a release date. The official announcement of the remastered trilogy of Crysis earlier this year was one that brought joy to plenty of fans of the first-person shooter series. The original Crysis was remastered last year, but now the entire trilogy will be released in just a month and a half, along with upgraded performance and enhancements for Xbox Series X and PS5 users.

Crytek has been relatively silent since announcing Crysis Remastered Trilogy. However, yesterday Crysis Remastered 2 and 3 received ESRB ratings, which often means that news is on the way. Sure enough, today the official Crysis Twitter page revealed the date.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will arrive on October 15, 2021, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Along with the trilogy becoming available, fans will have the opportunity to purchase Crysis Remastered 2 and or Crysis Remasted 3 separately. The trilogy is available for pre-order now.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy will come with big upgrades over the original games in terms of performance, graphics, and features. But the massive jump comes from the Xbox 360 era to the Xbox Series X for Crysis Remastered Trilogy in terms of graphics. Whether players are looking to play the games for the first time ever, or hop back in after an eight-year wait since Crysis 3 dropped in 2013, the Crysis Remastered Trilogy looks to provide an upgraded comprehensive package.

The original Crysis Remastered was enhanced for the PS5 and Xbox Series X back in April, but because this will be the first time Crysis 2 and 3 are remastered, it will be a massive boost to see the games on this now current generation. In terms of specifics, the PS5 and Xbox Series X player base will experience HD textures, improved lighting, and enhanced visuals for weapons, characters, and environments. Additionally, there will be a Dynamic Resolution feature that will allow players to adjust specs between 1080p all the way to 4k at 60 FPS.

Crysis may not quite have the popularity it had about a decade ago, but remastering the trilogy is a good way to bring back the series to fans, along with introducing it to a new player base. There is a chance that this could spark the flame for a new game in the future as well, as there have been rumors of a new Crysis title being in development at some point--including a possible battle royale.

Crysis Remastered Trilogy releases on October 15, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
