New 'Crysis 2' Experience 'Gate Keepers' Trailer

Crysis 3 Experience Gate Keepers

Crysis 2 will be releasing within days now and Crytek has released the last Crysis 2 Experience video, this time showing off PC gameplay. This particular video shows off more of the choreographed sandbox gameplay that the Crysis series has been all about, pitting protagonist Alcatraz versus numerous CELL (the bad guys) soldiers.

By now, it's almost uncontested that Crysis 2 looks amazing, and it may well be one of the best looking games ever.

One of the best parts of Crysis 2 is being able to attack a game space any way you can. Whether or not you choose to engage the enemies in a stealthy fashion, rush in and cause as much havoc as possible, or maybe just sneak in and accomplish your objective without trying to shoot anyone, any option is on the table -- though that last one doesn't sound as fun as the other two.

Check out the video below and see some of the raw gameplay players can expect to see when they step into a decimated New York City under siege.

This latest video shows off the customization options present in Crysis 2. Being able to customize your Nanosuit 2 to meet your specifications is just as important as using it to enhance your combat capabilities. Just as in the original Crysis, you can customize your weapons to suit the needs of the battlefield. These two factors combined enable the player to adapt to combat conditions easily and on the fly. Don't forget to check out the other two Crysis 2 videos for some more gameplay footage.

Crysis 3 Experience Gate Keepers

The choreographed sandbox gameplay is definitely on showcase in this video. Attacking the gameplay space in whichever way you want or, if the AI gets the better of you, are forced to. It's not a punishing kind of effect at all. If the enemy starts overwhelming you, tools are available that allow you to retreat and mount a counterattack, although cloaking and shooting a rocket launcher works just as well, and can be even more fun than a successful stealth infiltration.

Do you think Crysis 2 will have what it takes to shake up the first person shooter genre?

Crysis 2 releases on March 22, 2011, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
