Crysis 2, the upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, has released a trailer that details what will be included in the Limited Edition version of the game.
The Crysis 2 Limited Edition, available for no additional cost, features four in-game unlocks that aim to improve the player’s multiplayer experience. The trailer shows off what you will have instantly unlocked and how each boost could be utilized in a multiplayer session.
With Bonus XP, players will enter the multiplayer realm of the game with enough experience points to gain early access to 5 preset class load-outs. You will be able to choose whether to be Assault, Scout, Sniper, Demolitions, or Defence. The Limited Edition also includes digital camouflage for your SCAR Assault Rifle.
While the digital camouflage is mostly a cosmetic add-on, the SCAR Hologram Decoy attachment is a valuable add-on for anyone who wants to gain the upper hand on their opponent. The SCAR Hologram Decoy attachment will project a hologram image of you, confusing your target with the decoy. The trailer shows off just how helpful this attachment can be and how dangerous it could be for those on the wrong side of the illusion.
Finally, the Limited Edition gives players a Platinum Dog Tag. This dog tag is one of over 250 that gamers will be able to collect during the Crysis 2 multiplayer experience. The collection of these dog tags will help you display your multiplayer rank and stats.
This edition of Crysis 2 isn’t as robust as the Nano Edition that was revealed. However, there are some quality content and perks being provided for no extra cost. Anyone who plans to get the game should aim to claiming this Limited Edition. It should be a no-brainer that, if your wallets aren’t heavy enough to handle the Nano Edition, you need to at least get your hands on this edition.
Crysis 2 is coming March 22, 2011 (North America) and March 25, 2011 (EU) on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
