Crunchyroll, the anime livestreaming service, is partnering with Xbox for an offer that should please PC users who love both anime and video games. Together, the two companies are putting together a program where fans can get the best of both a Crunchyroll subscription and Xbox Game Pass on PC. There's nothing complicated to the process. All it requires is for anime fans to try Crunchyroll premium, including a 14-day free trial, and a code for 3 months of Xbox Game on PC will be given for free.

Crunchyroll Premium is the streaming platform's subscription-level service. The free Crunchyroll service offers access to over 30,000 episodes of anime, but they're made available a week after they're shown in Japan, have low resolution, and feature a lot of ads. Crunchyroll Premium gets rid of the ads, makes anime episodes freely available an hour after they're shown in Japan, and has a variety of other benefits.

The Crunchyroll Premium subscription is $7.99 a month, but as mentioned it also offers a free 14-day subscription for new accounts. When users subscribe either via the 14-day trial or via a normal paid subscription, they'll receive a code for three free months of Xbox Game Pass for PC. It must be made clear that this code is only for new Xbox Game Pass members and isn't available for existing or previous subscribers, based on the promotion's fine print.

Xbox Game Pass for PC is a subscription service that offers access to over 100 PC games via Windows 10, as well as EA Play's library of games. Users can select the games they want to play and then download them for installation. While DLC and expansion content often still costs full price, all of the games in Xbox Game Pass for PC's library are free once subscribed. After the three free months are up, subscribers will be charged $9.99 a month, the subscription's typical price point.

These types of promotions aren't uncommon for Xbox Game Pass, both for PC and for console. Still, for those who have yet to give Xbox Game Pass for PC a try, it's tough to find a better deal than three free months. Those who don't want to purchase a Crunchyroll subscription can probably find an Xbox Game Pass for PC code for much cheaper on the grey market, too.

Crunchyroll is currently wrapping up its 3-day Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021. Not only was the Xbox promotion revealed, but a variety of new and upcoming anime expected on the platform was showcased. For example, a new visual for Sakugan was shared, as was one for My Hero Academia Season 5. It's clearly a good time to be a Crunchyroll fan.
