Gameplay footage of Crash Team Rumble has leaked online following a preview event hosted by Activision and Toys for Bob to announce the beta and release date for the upcoming MOBA-style game. Crash Team Rumble was first revealed at The Game Awards in December 2022 after months of leaks rumors about the next entry into the Crash Bandicoot series. Up until the official announcement, the then-rumored game had been referred to as Crash Wumpa League as per the leaks which somewhat accurately described the upcoming title as a multiplayer party game.Crash Team Rumble will be the first game to feature the titular Crash Bandicoot and his pals since the well-received Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time which released in 2020 after a long hiatus for the series, not counting the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled since they are remasters of the first four Crash games that launched exclusively on the original Sony PlayStation. Historically, Crash himself was considered something of an unofficial mascot for PlayStation until games featuring the character began appearing on other platforms.RELATED: Crash Bandicoot Attempts the Wednesday Addams DanceA 30-second video of Crash Team Rumble gameplay has been leaked online. The footage reveals the closing moments of a match where the player is controlling Crash, frantically trying to collect Wumpa fruits while avoiding a pursuing Dingodile and what appears to be an enemy-activated Nitrous Oxide UFO that roams the battlefield blasting allied players with its laser beam. Other characters like Coco Bandicoot and Neo Cortex can also be seen in the arena along with a second Dingodile and an enemy Tawna Bandicoot. The original source of the leak appears to be IGN Italy, though more gameplay footage has also been revealed by YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh who has also promised to make a detailed analysis video.

The leaked gameplay footage seems to be divisive among fans of the Crash Bandicoot series. Some have expressed excitement while others are less enthused, presumably because they had hoped for another mainline installment. There are also those who believe that Crash Team Rumble should be free to play like most other MOBA-style games rather than carrying the $29.99 price tag.

Regardless, Crash Team Rumble will be released in June 2023 and pre-purchasing the game will give players access to the closed beta which will be held from April 20 to April 24, 2023. There is also a Deluxe Edition available for pre-purchase that contains all the content from the Standard Edition as well as Premium Battle Pass for the first two seasons with 25-tier instant unlocks for Season One.

Crash Team Rumble will officially launch on June 20, 2023, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
