Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is much more than just a remake. The game will also feature a slew of brand new content not seen in the original release, and it will also have significant post-launch support. As announced by Activision, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled will feature post-launch seasonal events that will add free tracks, challenges, items, characters, and more, including none other than Spyro the Dragon.

The first Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled seasonal Grand Prix event will take place on July 3 with the Nitro Tour Grand Prix. Fans will later get their hands on the Back N. Time Grand Prix, followed by the Spyro Grand Prix at some point after that. While official release dates for the other Grand Prix events are unavailable at this time, we do know that even more beyond the three already announced are being planned as well.

Nitro Tour Grand Prix

On July 3, Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled will get the free Nitro Tour Grand Prix event. This will add a new track, new challenges, new items (skins, karts, stickers, paint jobs, etc.), and a new set of characters referred to as the Nitro Squad.

Spyro Grand Prix

Arguably the most exciting Grand Prix announced for Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is the Spyro Grand Prix. However, details on it are scarce at this time, beyond the fact that it will add Spyro the Dragon as a playable character.

Further details on the Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled Grand Prix events will come to light as we near their start date, including whether or not any of them will have PS4-exclusive content like the base game.

Regardless of platform, it seems Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is adding enough cosmetic items to keep fans engaged for the long-term. We'll have to see if the game lives up to expectations when it launches next week.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled launches on June 21 for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
