Some big news has come out this last week for Activision and Crash Bandicoot, including the arrival of the previously PlayStation 4-exclusive trilogy remaster to not only Xbox One and PC, but also to the Nintendo Switch. To top it all off, now there is a pretty good idea of who is going to be responsible for bringing Crash to Nintendo's system.

Interestingly, the Crash Bandicoot Remaster's original developer, Vicarious Visions, will not be working on the Switch port, though they are working on the Xbox One and PC versions. Instead, developer Toys For Bob is seeing the project through.

Toys For Bob is no stranger to working with big franchises. It has previously worked on a number of Skylanders games, including Imaginators, in which Crash originally made his comeback as an unlockable character. He was also accompanied in the game by his nemesis, Dr. Neo Cortex.

The studio could be overseeing the Switch port in order to lighten the load for Vicarious Visions, since rumors have also been circling that the team could be working on bringing back Spyro the Dragon soon, even though Activision hasn't made an official announcement yet.

Thanks to Toys For Bob's commitment to stay true to Vicarious Vision's coding, early footage of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch looks promising. Because of this, fans can rest assured that Crash's wild antics will carry over seamlessly onto the Switch.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be the same experience as the PS4 version, but with the added bonus of portability. As of now, no additional features or enhancements have been announced.

The arrival of the game to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on July 10 marks the first time the first three Crash games will be available on a non-PlayStation console. This release date also allows lots of time between now and then for Nintendo to announce a possible Crash Bandicoot amiibo, which, given the iconic nature of the character, could be an easy sell.
