The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy initially made a splash with gamers back at E3 2016, when the remasters of Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, and Warped were first unveiled. One year on, and a lot more is known about the collection, with the trilogy even receiving a launch trailer. However, some gamers keeping tabs on the project as a whole have noticed something peculiar.

As it turns out, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will actually be hiding a number of Uncharted-themed Easter eggs. These Easter eggs were first picked up by users over on Reddit, who proceeded to share it with the community at large. For starters, one fan of Crash Bandicoot noticed that the titular character happened to have a framed picture of Uncharted hero Nathan Drake sitting on his mantelpiece.

From there, though, fans have been able to pick out another hidden Easter egg. Coco, the sister of Crash Bandicoot who was a beloved character from Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot Warped and who has recently been confirmed as a playable character in the remastered trilogy, is shown on her computer, looking at what seems to be footage from Uncharted 4.

The use of Uncharted¬†Easter eggs in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy certainly makes a lot of sense. After all, Crash Bandicoot was initially developed by Naughty Dog, and although the trilogy collection is being created by developer Vicarious Visions, it’s a neat touch to call back to the original dev team through the use of one of its most popular franchises.

So far, too, it seems as though Naughty Dog is happy with how Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is turning out. Naughty Dog producer Kara Massie has confirmed that the team at Naughty Dog has seen the trilogy in action, and is impressed with the Crash Bandicoot remaster so far.

It’s also worth noting that the Uncharted franchise and Crash Bandicoot do have history together. Back in 2016, Naughty Dog hid an Easter egg for Crash Bandicoot in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which further amplified speculation that a Crash remaster could be on the way. Who knows, perhaps more Naughty Dog-themed Easter eggs will be included – although tasking Crash with taking out a Clicker from The Last of Us might be a bit much.
