When the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was released on PS4 in 2017, the platforming game remasters did phenomenally well, racking up huge sales and receiving critical acclaim too. But is the remastered trilogy about to become even more successful, coming to additional platforms and finding even more fans?

According to recent speculation, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy could be headed to Nintendo Switch very soon. After an executive from merchandise company GB Eye revealed that the remasters are headed to PC and Nintendo Switch (and that a new Crash Bandicoot game is planned for 2019), a listing by a retailer now seems to have backed that information up.

Spanish video game retailer XtraLife had listed a Nintendo Switch version of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy with a placeholder release date of 2018 and a price of €50 (approximately $60). Although it appears that the listing has been taken down since fans discovered it, it was captured in screenshots. Before the listing was removed it also seems that XtraLife was taking pre-orders for the game; it's unclear what will happen to these pre-orders since the listing has been removed and if the retailer will continue to honor them should the game be officially announced.

It's important to take this information with a grain of salt since it did not come directly from (publisher) Activision or (developer) Vicarious Visions. However, it is also important to note that this isn't the first piece of evidence pointing towards a Nintendo Switch release for the game. Not only did the GB Eye executive confirm that Crash Bandicoot is coming to the Nintendo Switch, but several sources speaking to the publication Eurogamer also confirmed that a Switch release is on the way.

Moreover, there's the fact that the Nintendo Switch would be a good fit for Crash Bandicoot's platforming antics. The success of Super Mario Odyssey, Sonic Mania, and recently released indie game Celeste suggests that there is a real appetite for platforming games on the console. Nintendo Switch players clearly feel that the console is a good fit for this kind of gameplay and therefore, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy would fit right in.

If the game really is coming to the Nintendo Switch, then the build-up of information would indicate that an announcement is going to happen soon. There are additional rumors that Nintendo plans to hold a major Nintendo Direct event at some point this month and this could be a good place for Activision to officially announce the game.
