Re-releases and remakes are no strangers to 2017, as plenty of beloved franchises have received an HD makeover for the current generation of consoles. While the path to release has been a long one (filled with plenty of rumors and speculation), the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is nearly upon us, and Activision is sweetening the deal by offering up a few digital goodies for those who pre-order.

As listed on the PlayStation Store, those who pre-order Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy before its June release will receive the “Friends Pack.” Included are avatars for both Crash’s Arctic companion, Polar, and the witch doctor Aku, which players can set as their profile picture for their PlayStation Network account. The “Friends Pack” also includes a dynamic theme, which depicts Crash himself as he traverses through an icy landscape on Polar’s back, with Aku Aku at his side.

Pre-order bonuses of this nature are not uncommon for PlayStation games. However, as of now, it remains to be seen if the dynamic theme and avatars will be made available for purchase, especially for those who miss out on the chance to pre-order.

Those who miss out on this pre-order offer will still have plenty to look forward to, as Activision and developer Vicarious Visions have given the series more than a simple HD facelift. The remaster, which includes the first three PlayStation 1 era games, features entirely new core artwork and lighting systems, as well as support for 4K displays.

There are also a handful of gameplay tweaks such as unified checkpoints and the inclusion of auto-saving. Thankfully, though, purists can rest easy knowing that all the core content and gameplay mechanics from the original trilogy have not been lost in translation.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is set to release on June 30, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
