The Crash Bandicoot series has long been loved by Playstation gamers, as the marsupial was very much the mascot for Sony and the original Playstation for a time. When it comes to other consoles, however, Crash has only recently visited the likes of the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and it looks like Crash Bandicoot 4 could be following suit.

When Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy was revealed in 2016 Playstation fans rejoiced, as the series had been on a long hiatus. Along with the game obviously coming to PS4, some were surprised to learn that the remaster was making its way to the Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. But when it comes to playing a classic beloved game, the more the merrier.

The game is currently set to release on the PS4 and Xbox One, but not the Switch. Nintendo fans may feel left in the dark at the moment, especially since they were able to enjoy N Sane Trilogy and may be interested in what the fourth game will do. However, now it looks like Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, coming on October 2, 2020, may be on the way to the Nintendo Switch. One smart Twitter user found some data on the game's page pointing towards a Switch version.

@SunwerPrower found small hints of the Switch while opening the script of the Crash 4 webpage. A Nintendo Switch element is something that shows up specifically in the platform options menu, which definitely it telling of a Switch version being possible. There have been leaks before that Crash 4 is headed to other platforms, this is just another find that shows it could be true.

It's possible that the reveal for the game coming to the Switch was supposed to be a part of Nintendo's E3 Direct, or whatever would be the equivalent of that. But because Nintendo hasn't had a big games reveal blowout yet this summer, the news may still be hidden. With a new Nintendo Direct for August being possibly on the way, it could be that Crash Bandicoot 4 for the Switch will be revealed.

Whether or not Crash 4 comes to the Switch for the Oct 2, 2020 launch or sometime later, the likelihood of the game indeed making it to Nintendo's hybrid console is seeming stronger. Then perhaps the dream of Crash coming to Smash Bros. will be a reality as well.
