Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is now out, and the memes are already going wild. Between in-game content, and early artwork releases, there's plenty of meme material to go around. Some memes relate directly to the game, while other use screenshots to create funny jokes and relatable content. As if Crash isn't hilarious enough on his own, these meme creators make him seem even funnier.

Between all the jokes about multiple Crash 4 games, and references to the new character designs, these memes are sure to make players laugh. It's going to be difficult to top the Crash "whoa" memes, but these ten hilarious Crash 4 memes get pretty close.

10 Forgetting Mom's Orders

That awkward moment when one must face the wrath of mother. At least it's better than the Wrath of Cortex, but not by much. Crash 4 screenshots make for some awesome meme material, and this creator knows it. What are Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku looking at? There won't be any spoilers here. The game is finally available, so go grab a copy and find out what's scarier than rampaging mothers!

9 Master Manipulation!

No one to better represent manipulation techniques than the famous Dr. Neo Cortex. In this meme, the creator really captures Cortex's evil laughter. If photos could make noise, this one would sound like an evil scientist who's trying to take over the world or something.

That's exactly how powerful every kid feels when they find a way to spent the night with a friend. Mountain Dew and online gaming all night? Sounds like a fun time!

8 Self-Destruction

Well, most people have been here before. Coco and Aku Aku very evidently told Crash to not touch that mask, but what did he do? Yep, classic Crash Bandicoot. He did it anyway.

This meme's creator is at least self-aware enough to know their friend is giving them proper advice. A lot of Bandicoot addicts can probably relate to this one. Everyone is just trying to deal with this life healthily, but the temptation to be a big dummy is too great sometimes.

7 The Healthiest Coping Mechanism

Why actively participate in society when there's an option not to? Yeah, escapism may not be the healthiest form of handing things, but 2020 is a rare exception. DazzlingDazzaD94 has the right idea. It's almost like when Animal Crossing: New Horizons released as soon as quarantine began. It's not easy to face the realities of pandemics and all the evil in the world.

Jumping around and spinning into a new Crash Bandicoot world is definitely a smart way to help alleviate anxiety. Can't take looking at the news anymore? Just break out the Ps4 or Xbox and start twirling.

6 The True Crash Bandicoot 4?

Well, this is mind twister. What really is the true Crash 4? Obviously, many fans were disappointed with The Wrath of Cortex, and understandably so. Therefore, when Toys For Bob said that It's About Time is going to be Crash 4, many fans felt relief. It's a long awaited change for sure. However, it is pretty confusing.

Apparently, the timeline in It's About Time is all warped (no pun intended) which adds a ton of confusion from the outside looking in. The best way to understand this whole timeline dilemma is to play the game and see what happens.

5 Upgrade?

Speaking the whole Crash 4 thing, why remaster when a complete upgrade is available? Thankfully developers gave players a brand new game overall instead of throwing another remaster out. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled was 100% an amazing creation, without a doubt, but the remasters should end there. Crash deserves brand new titles, and thankfully, that's what he's getting.

In this meme, the creator takes the intro to N Sane trilogy and references The Wrath of Cortex as the old Crash 4, and It's About Time as the new one. This is pretty clever! It makes sense, and it's accurate. The new game is definitely way better than Wrath of Cortex by a landslide.

4 No Spoilers, Please!

Thanks to time zone differences and delivery issues, not everyone is going to be playing this game at the same time, even if everyone pre-ordered it. The downside to the internet is that people never really know when a spoiler is going to show up. In this meme, the creator uses a Crash screenshot to express their displeasure regarding spoilers.

The basic rule is this: if it's super important to the game, don't go out of the way to spoil it for someone. On the same note, for those who haven't gotten the game yet, logging on may not be a risk worth taking.

3 Hell Is Filled With Your Worst Fear

Just imagine waiting for years for a brand new Crash Bandicoot installment, just to have it ruined before even getting to pick up the controller. Again, try to stay off of social media until after beating the game. Back in the old days, as in the early 2000s, this wasn't so much of a concern. Now, the internet is crawling with info that's sometimes unwanted.

Hopefully no one will be ending up in hell anytime soon. But, if hell were real, it would definitely look like it does in this meme.

2 Hard Copies For Life!

This is a really disheartening downside to the whole digital/physical copy dilemma. Those who preordered the digital copy actually got to play the game early. How lucky! On the flip side, those who ordered the physical copy didn't get this perk.

Sure, digital copies are great and have their perks, but some old fashioned players just enjoy the benefits of a physical disc and case. The newer generation doesn't seem to mind as much though, which is why Sony is going out with a digital-only PS5 that's actually cheaper. The appeal is obviously there, but it sucks that the physical pre-orders get left out.

1 What IS Crash 4?

Back to that whole timeline thing, well, it's a lot. As if The Legend of Zelda timeline wasn't confusing enough, this who alternate dimensions thing really messes with the brain. Apparently, Toys For Bob has stated that Crash games outside the original trilogy are not being dismissed. In short, these games still happened, but in a different universe.

Cool? Yes. Does this trigger an existential crisis? Absolutely. Hopefully this whole timeline thing will make more sense now that the game is officially out.
