It won't be too much longer before players looking forward to Crackdown 3 will finally be able to get their hands on a copy of the forthcoming action-adventure game, but it's safe to say that some are still wondering just how meaty the story will be before committing to a purchase. With this being the case, Microsoft Studios Creative Director and Writer Joe Staten recently decided to reveal the campaign length for the title.

According to Staten, Crackdown 3 will feature a "15-hour-plus campaign" for single-player gameplay fans to enjoy, and it will not only include story beats, but also should "train [one] in how to play the game" if they want to get their "skills sharp enough to be competitive in multiplayer". While the Microsoft Studios Creative Director didn't allude to what the plot will contain, he did say that the campaign will at the very least provide a "fictional context for the world".

As some players may agree, a game's ideal length is up for debate, especially now that many contemporary releases are designed to have loads of additional modes and features as a means to supplement a given title's shelf life. Even so, there's a good chance that a lot of fans anticipating Crackdown 3 will still see its campaign as being too short. Nevertheless, with most content now having the capacity to be released digitally at an almost instantaneous rate, there's always the chance for the development team to add even more single-player wares post-launch.

All things considered, players will simply have to remain patient in order to find out if Crackdown 3's campaign is as long as it needs to be, and whether or not the multiplayer aspects of the title make up for what the story mode lacks. As previously mentioned, the wait shouldn't be too much longer, as the action-adventure game is set to release in just a little more than a week from now.

Crackdown 3 is scheduled to release on February 15, 2019 for PC and Xbox One.
