It's been a very long time since fans have seen or heard anything about Microsoft's first-party exclusive, Crackdown 3. A month following the reveal of Terry Crews at E3, Microsoft delayed the open world game due to quality concerns, where it has been ever since flying well under the radar. Nearly a year later, it appears that Crackdown 3 is at the very tail end of the development process with a recent listing indicating that the game could be releasing a lot sooner than people think.

Just recently, a new parental rating from the Brazilian Rating Board found its way online revealing that Crackdown 3 has been given a classification. Unsurprisingly, Crackdown 3 received a rating that was unsuitable for people under 16 years of age. Considering that the franchise is known for stylized violence, minor destruction elements, and open world freedom, it appears that this latest game in the franchise is all set to follow its predecessors by earning an M for Mature rating here in North America.

Unfortunately, the rating has since been pulled or made private so that the public no longer has access to it. Typically, when a game is given a rating, it means that a launch date is quickly approaching. It was just last month that Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that news regarding Crackdown 3 was coming soon and that the development team are locked into a specific release date, though gave no indication of when that actually is. Based on this bit of news, speculation over a possible E3 reveal and release has begun to circulate, something which Microsoft and Sony both have experience with, only not with a major franchise such as Crackdown.

This most recent evidence of an upcoming launch date also goes hand in hand with another accidental leak a few months back courtesy of Amazon Spain. The online store posted a page earlier than anyone intended which listed Crackdown 3's launch date as June 29. Oddly enough, this page hasn't been taken down or modified at all as the June 29 date is still front and center. This wasn't the first mistake made as Amazon Spain also indirectly confirmed the release date of State of Decay 2, another big first party game in the same manner. After posting that page with a specific release date, Microsoft later confirmed it was true when it ultimately revealed the launch date for that game on May 22.
