While Crackdown 3 fans wait patiently for some purportedly exciting news out of Comic Con 2017, it's safe to say that they are craving any new information about the forthcoming open world third-person shooter as possible. With this surely being the case, those ready for the game's release will be pleased to learn that a little more than 10 minutes of fresh gameplay footage has surfaced online to detail the forthcoming title's free roaming capabilities, its Black Hole Gun weapon, as well as character abilities.
As seen below on the YouTuber theRadBrad's gameplay video for Crackdown 3, fans are privy to view the Agent protagonist traveling all throughout a small section of the in-game map while he wreaks havoc with gunplay, explosives, and environmental destruction. Not to mention, when it comes to the aforementioned Black Hole Gun, players can see they will be able to use the weapon to create a vortex of sorts that sucks in enemies and certain elements of the surrounding area to leave them stationary and open to attack.
In addition to the free roaming capabilities and gunplay action, Crackdown 3 fans will notice that as the protagonist continues to cause destruction and take down enemies, their character's skills will upgrade. For instance, at a certain point, not only does the Agent have his firearm skill increase, but also his explosive skill levels up after using a big blast to demolish certain pieces of destructible environments.
A while back, an industry insider spoke in anonymity to claim that Crackdown 3's development has been rough, as there are still lingering issues that need to be dealt with, but as evidenced in the above clip, it seems as if the third-person shooter is making headway. So, with several months left to go before the title's release, it's safe to say that Reagent Games and Sumo Digital still have plenty of time to work out any of the kinks currently plaguing the game.
Crackdown 3 is slated to release on November 7, 2017 for PC and Xbox One.
