Within the gaming community, there is often discussion of what it would look or be like if the features of another game were added to it. Footage of a recently created mod may have just answered many questions for players wondering what popular shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive would look like if the building mechanics featured in Fortnite were added to the game.

Created by a user named Kinsi55, the mod provides Counter-Strike: GO players with the ability to build ramps and platforms like they do in Fortnite. The video clip displaying the content of the mod shows players being able to use such capabilities to find or create strategic positions that may aid in winning a match.

The mod is currently not available to the public, with Kinsi55 stating that there are no plans to make the addition publicly available in future. When asked to explain the reasoning behind this decision, the modder stated that most of CS: GO’s official maps are too small to allow for such a feature to be added without in some way hindering gameplay.

This is not the first mod user Kinsi55 has created for CS: GO; he is also responsible for the popular Go 4 The Kill addition, which is a mod that essentially adds a battle royale game mode to the title. The mod is able to accomplish this feat by adding a large, well-designed map to the game as well as adding features that suit the battle royale mode. Rumors suggesting that Valve will soon be adding an official battle royale mode to the game sometime in the future have been circulating for a while, but this still remains to be seen.

Although the mod will never be released to the public, it is always exciting to see what sort of user-created additions the gaming community may produce for popular titles. It will be interesting to know which two games modders will attempt to create a hybrid of next.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is available now on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
