Fans of cozy games are most likely familiar with farming and life sims, and Coral Island is the newest addition to the genre. While it is still in Early Access, fans can still hop in and enjoy the story as it's being updated, as there is plenty to do already. From befriending over 50 characters, and even romancing one out of the 20 possible candidates, players can enjoy their life on the farm as well as explore dangerous Caverns, and dive under the ocean for resources. Coral Island expands on what fans are familiar with, giving players plenty to do on this cozy Island.

But it can also be stressful at time, as there is much to do if players want to progress as much as they can into the story before the next updates. One such pressure is the Town Rank, which is a vital piece of information that players need to be aware of if they want to open more opportunities. The Town Rank not only opens more stores in the town, but it expands the story and unlocks valuable items for players, making it possible to upgrade the farm and even get the Greenhouse. If players are wanting to unlock the Greenhouse before the first winter, they'll need to pay attention to how to improve the Town Rank as quickly as possible, and this guide will explain how.

What Is Town Rank

Coral Island Town Rank

For fans that have played Animal Crossing: New Horizons, town ratings are not a new concept in the cozy gaming world, as receiving 5 Stars was the ultimate goal. This time around, though, the Town Rank is determined through a letter system. When players first begin their Coral Island journey, they will soon find themselves in a cutscene with the mayor explaining how the system works and that the town is currently placed at F, which is the worst rank.

The mayor will then ask the player to work on raising this rank, that way more people will want to visit the island, thus bringing life back to the Island. This also hints that if this can be possible, then the Pufferfish Drilling Corporation might not stay on the Island, which is the game's main protagonist, like JojoMart in Stardew Valley. So while the Town Rank is not incredibly important at the beginning, fans wanting to progress a lot will want to keep this in mind.

How To Improve Town Rank

Coral Island Town Rank Improve

Town Rank can be improved by several different ways. By doing the activities around the Island, players will receive a certain amount of points which will go to improving Rank. Currently, the number of points that each Rank needs is unknown, but the activities and the points that are given out are shown below. Museum points are earned through museum donations, like fish, artifacts, insects, or gems that are found in the Caverns. Temple offerings are earned when completing an offering package. And ocean points are earned when players are diving in the ocean and clearing parts of the ocean floor.

What Town Rank Unlocks

Coral Island Town Rank Unlock

The Town Rank effects most upgrades that are possible on the Island. From getting more farm animals, to more seeds, and even more shops in the Town, Rank is a vital piece for those that want to see as much of the content as possible. But keep in mind that since the game is still in Early Access, not all information is out yet or available for players, so as of right now, players can only reach Town Rank B.
