Armor is just one part of any RPG, or action-adventure games that have RPG elements, that many players look forward to. This is a very good incentive to encourage world exploration and see more of what the game has to offer beyond combat and narrative.

Many of the armor developers create for their games are masterfully crafted to subtly give players more confidence to play better, on top of giving additional in-game buffs. It just gives the players a much better time roaming around the world of the game, doing the missions, and battling monsters when they're doing it with such style. Thankfully, there have been a lot of incredibly cool looking in-game armor that have brilliantly graced the games they're in.

10 Iron Spider Suit (Spider-Man)

Iron spider suit.

Marvel's Spider-Man, which came out on the PS4, had a lot of very cool looking armor. As a comic book character, Spider-Man has had a lot of different costumes. The same is true for the character's most recent game. Perhaps the coolest one is the Iron Spider suit.

While the game is filled with very gorgeous armor for Peter Parker to don, the Iron Spider suit, in particular, is more graceful for the fact that it is the very same armor that got featured in Avengers: Infinity War, an MCU movie that came out just a few months prior the game's release. To be able to play while donning the same armor the players saw Spider-Man wore on-screen was an example of well done fan service.

9 Daedric Armor (Skyrim)

Elder Scrolls: Skyrim is one of the biggest and most lauded RPGs of this generation. It has every element a good RPG should have– fun gameplay, epic storyline, massive open-world, different factions to join, and a wide array of weapons to carry and armor to wear. Skyrim players will find themselves spending hours just finding the right armor set to wear that fits their play style, and one that looks stylish.

The Daedric Armor is one such armor. This gothic and ominous-looking heavy armor has the highest base armor rating found in the game, which makes it perfect for heavy builds. On top of this perk, this armor just looks so sleek, and its edginess makes it the perfect set for the last Dragonborn.

8 Drachen Alpha Armor (Monster Hunter: World)

Drachen Alpha set from Monster Hunter: World.

For players to survive within the world of Monster Hunter: World, not only do they need to be skilled but they also need to equip themselves with the right tools. A handy, powerful weapon is a good start, with durable armor to cap it all off.

The Drachen Alpha Armor– while it may not be the most powerful or durable armor in-game– is arguably the best looking. Wearing the entire Drachen Alpha set gives off a very medieval, archaic hunter vibe and will give the players more than enough boost to face the daunting monsters of the game.

7 First Civilization Armor (Assassin's Creed: Odyssey)

First Civilization set armor.

The First Civilization armor set is another addition that came with The Fate of Atlantis DLC. This DLC finally gave players a chance to meet Isus, although simulated versions, and interact with them. What better way to deal with the gods than to look like one?

The First Civilization armor really makes the players feel like to belong in Elysium, Hades, and Atlantis. It provides that godly look and whether the players are playing as Alexios or Kassandra, playing the DLC while wearing the First Civilization armor set will make the players feel like the god or goddess that they are.

6 Nanosuit 2 (Crysis 2 & 3)

Nanosuit 2 found in Crysis.

The CryNet Nanosuit 2 made its first appearance in Crysis 2, and was later brought back in Crysis 3. This iteration of the Nanosuit is more technologically advanced than its predecessor and is significantly more powerful. On top of that, it is also much cooler looking.

The armor itself looks like an emulation of weaves of musculature embedded on a metallic frame. It looks tough and sleek. In the game, the Nanosuit 2 is one of the most technologically advanced pieces of hardware humans have ever created, and there have only been two people who've had the privilege of donning this powerful armor.

5 Digital Dino (Saints Row IV)

Saints Row IV is a game that screams goofy, absurd, wacky, and of course, fun. It has a story players can just have fun with, humorous references to other titles, meta-humor, and very diverse customization. One of the ways the game allows its players to just have fun is by providing them with the Digital Dino armor, an armor that looks exactly like it sounds.

The Digital Dino armor comes with the Child's Play Pack DLC. This armor makes players look like a tiny Mecha Godzilla and it makes the game so much more fun. Due to the humorous nature of the game, this cosmetic does not feel out of place at all. It makes it more awesome, even.

4 Cainhurst Armor (Bloodborne)

Cainhurst Knight in Bloodborne.

Most of the armor in Bloodborne are just for cosmetics. They do offer a few buffs and benefits, but players see them mainly as fashion opportunities to look as sleek as they can while playing the harrowingly difficult game. The Cainhurst Armor is one of the sharpest looking armor sets found in Bloodborne. Most of the garments found in the game are made of cloth, but this is one of the few that actually looks like a metallic armor. It doesn't look that heavy either, so it will still make sense for players to move around as quickly as they can wearing armor such as this. All in all, the Cainhurst armor is a unique armor within the game and it's one of the coolest sets players can wear.

3 Terminus Assault Armor (Mass Effect 3)

Terninus Assault armor from Mass Effect 3.

The metallic black and molten red design of the Terminus Assault Armor in Mass Effect 3 is perfect for players who prefer this dark, gritty color scheme. The armor itself looks very sharp, distinct, and will surely intimidate its enemies. The fact that this suit was designed to provide stealth makes it even more spectacular. On top of that, it also boosts shield capabilities so those who prefer to face their enemies head-on can also don this armor without a problem.

2 Grandmaster Wolven Armor (The Witcher 3)

Grandmaster Wolven armor in Witcher 3.

While Witcher 3 may not have as many armor options as other RPG titles, the ones it does have to offer are perfect enough for the game it's in. One armor in particular fit Geralt so well it should just be his go-to outfit.

The Grandmaster Wolven Armor is the perfect culmination of gritty and elegant. It makes sense for Geralt to wear this armor too as he belongs in the School of Wolf. Dyeing this armor white will also make it perfectly encapsulate Geralt as a White Wolf, as he's frequently referred to in the game.

1 Dancer's Armor (Dark Souls 3)

Dancer of the Boreal Valley from Dark Souls 3.

One of the best things about Dark Souls 3 is its perfect use of RPG elements. The customization is very well done and just adds to the replay value. There are tons of weapons & armor in the game, and one of the best of the latter is the Dancer's set.

The Dancer's set was originally worn by the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, which the players can then purchase for themselves once they've beaten the boss. The armor really matches with the medieval and enigmatic atmosphere of the game. Its sleek and ghostly design is only made more perfect by the ethereal looking cape that flows about behind the armor.
