A new update has come to Cookie Run Kingdom for the holiday season. While most of the attention is on the reintroduction of Cocoa Cookie into the game, there are multiple events that have also been introduced that players can benefit from. One of these is the Holiday Cake event.
There have been multiple Cookie Run Kingdom events in the past that focused on a special piece of kingdom decor that gives out rewards. The Cake Baked from the Heart, though, is the first with the ability to be upgraded like a landmark or production building. It can only be upgraded for a limited amount of time though, requiring players to work toward it if they want the most rewards possible.
To get the Cake Baked from the Heart, players need to go to the Events menu and select the Holiday Cake tab. From here, players can get the decoration and place it anywhere in their kingdom. After being placed, players can collect rewards from the cake like a landmark. Players will get more rewards from the cake the more it is upgraded
Upgrading the Cake Baked from the Heart
There are five levels for the Holiday Cake with players obtaining the cake at level one. In order to upgrade it, players need to select the cake in the overworld and use normal materials such as Roll Cake Wood or Sugar Cubes. It also requires a Sugar Gnome to work on. However, there is another special material that players need known as Holiday Ribbons.
Holiday Ribbons can either be earned through completing tasks in the Lucky Holiday Ribbons event or given through friend gifts. While they can be used to gift friends Fancy Holiday Gifts, it is highly recommended to wait until completely upgrading the Holiday Cake before using the Holiday Ribbons this way.
As the Cake Baked from the Heart is leveled up, it will require more materials and more Holiday Ribbons to get to the next level. Every time it is upgraded though, it will automatically have its next reward ready, allowing players to collect them right away.
Players have from December 9, 2021, to December 25, 2021, to completely upgrade the Cake Baked from the Heart. Once the event is over, the decoration will no longer give players rewards like a landmark, but it can still be kept and displayed as a normal decor item in the kingdom. While unknown at this time, it is most likely that the Cake will remain the appearance of what level players managed to upgrade it to after the event's end.
