Former UFC Featherweight and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor recently took to Twitter to take a swipe at the latest UFC video game, EA Sports UFC 4. Conor McGregor has had a Hall of Fame-worthy career in the UFC, notably being the first fighter in the history of the company to hold championships in two different weight classes simultaneously.McGregor's over-the-top persona and impressive win record has solidified him as one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time. His success in the octagon has translated to McGregor becoming a genuine mainstream star, set to make his feature film debut in the upcoming Road House remake and often making high profile media appearances. McGregor's last UFC fight was a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He has not officially retired, but it's unclear when he'll make his return, if at all.RELATED: EA May Be Preparing To Start Work On UFC 5McGregor recently took to Twitter to share an image of an old promotional video for EA Sports UFC 2 that he made with YouTuber KSI. Remarking on his Burberry scarf, McGregor praised the early EA Sports UFC games while throwing the newest iteration under the bus. McGregor referred to EA Sports UFC 4 as "garbaiste" which translates to "garbage." It's worth pointing out that McGregor was one of the cover athletes for EA Sports UFC 2, so it's possible he may be a tad biased.

McGregor shared the cover of EA Sports UFC 2 with Ronda Rousey, who remains one of the most famous UFC fighters of all time. Since retiring from MMA, Rousey has focused on her home life and competing in WWE. Rousey is currently the WWE SmackDown Women's Champion and was one of the first women to ever main event WrestleMania, so it's safe to say that she has enjoyed a great deal of success in professional wrestling.

After sharing the EA Sports UFC 2 cover with Rousey, McGregor would be featured by himself on the cover of EA Sports UFC 3. The EA Sports UFC 4 cover athletes were Jorge Masvidal and Israel Adesanya. That particular game launched in 2020, and no new entry in the franchise has been announced at the time of this writing, so it's anyone's guess as to who the next cover athlete may be.

As far as McGregor's insult goes, it's worth pointing out that EA Sports UFC 2, 3, and 4 all had comparable reviews from critics with 77, 78, and 77 overall ratings, respectively. The original EA Sports UFC game was actually the worst-rated of the bunch.

EA Sports UFC 4 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
