A batch of new screens and a trailer for the upcoming Wii-exclusive first person shooter Conduit 2 were just released, all of which showcase some of the game's weapons. The weapons highlighted in the trailer include the Hive Cannon, a gun that shoots a swarm of insects that explode on contact, the Aegis Device, which allows players to use their enemies own ammo against them, and the AR-C Eclipse, a gun that can render its user completely invisible.
The Aegis Device looks pretty cool and could add some fun strategy to taking on enemies, if players are given the opportunity to use the gun on multiple occasions. The AR-C Eclipse also looks interesting, providing players with an invisibility power in a kind of unique way by tying it to a certain weapon. The Hive Cannon looks kind of like a Needler from the Halo universe, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Needler kills in Halo can be some of the best. Watch the trailer below to see them all in action.
While the Wii might not be the system of choice for die-hard FPS gamers, last year's GoldenEye proved a FPS can still be fun on the Wii. It certainly seems like developer High Voltage and publisher Sega are putting in the work to make Conduit 2 shine, adding additional control methods and releasing a GameStop exclusive limited edition.
Take a look at the screens for some larger, non-moving shots of some of the game's weapons.
