Harvestella is a role playing game (otherwise known as an RPG) and a life simulation game that was developed by Square Enix. The player can take control of their character, designing them to their heart's content, where they can fight off the evils that dwell, or simply live a nice life of farming.

There are many players that will immediately take to the game and be able to pick it up with ease. However, there are going to be people who may not be as lucky, and as such should know about some common mistakes that they can make very easily.

6 Forgetting To Fix The Kitchen

Harvestella - Farm

Oftentimes, a player will end up forgetting to renovate their kitchen even further than just the bare minimum. This is not a trap that many players want to fall into, as the kitchen is going to be their main source of food and extra currency.

The kitchen may be a bit pricey to renovate, especially in the beginner stages of the game, but it is beyond worth it, due to how many more recipes a player can make, and how much better their food will turn out. A player will make better recipes and earn more money from their deluxe meals they made in the kitchen, so it is always best to prioritize kitchen upgrades.

5 Passing Up On Side Quests

Harvestella - Promo

While it may be tempting to ignore the side quests and instead go for the big guns (such as picking through dungeons, farming or making more recipes), this would actually be pretty harmful to a player's game play. The side quests that the game Harvestella offers have all sorts of different rewards to offer a player, even if they may not seem immediately good at first.

Side quests will be a good way for a player to have an extra source of in game currency, along with being able to gather all sorts of other supplies that they may need for a recipe or other renovations. A player should never pass up a side quest when given the chance.

4 Not Using Drinks For Health

Harvestella - Lilypads

Although the main flagship of the game Harvestella is the ability to cook all sorts of delicious food to aid them in battle (similarly to Breath of the Wild), it is actually not food that is considered to be the best thing for recovering health. That would, in fact, be the drinks that a player can take with them to battle.

While a player definitely wants to take food with them to the battles they fight, it would be more important to take drinks to keep replenishing their HP. A player with a full stomach cannot eat any more food, but they can always drink more HP filling drinks.

3 Not Having All The Tools Needed

Harvestella - Shrike

There are going to be a bunch of tools that a player will need to use throughout their game play of the game Harvestella. The player who forgets to bring their tools with them - even after unlocking them all - will find themselves in quite a few jams they could have easily gotten out of had they been prepared.

However, it is also worth noting that a player will not be able to gain all the tools that they need for free. In fact, a player will have to do all sorts of quests and purchase nearly all of their tools once they are off on their own.

2 Neglecting The Farm

Harvestella - Anomaly

The farm is going to be one of the most important parts of game play for a player, and yet there are still quite a few people who may not realize just how important it is, and as such neglect upgrading their farm. This is something that every player should remember to do - upgrade their farm and tend to the crops as much as possible.

A player must remember that each season only lasts 30 in game days. After that, any and all crops that were not harvested will die off, and all the effort that a player put into tending for them will ultimately go to waste, as a player cannot use their dead crops for anything.

1 Forgetting To Socialize

Harvestella - Grass

As with many life sim games, the game Harvestella puts a big focus on socializing with the other NPCs in the game. However, between farming, cooking, and battling in dungeons, a player may actually forget to socialize with the NPCs and the many party members that they find, which is not something that they want to do.

By socializing and talking with their party members, a player will be able to grow closer to them, thus unlocking all sorts of new combat skills through their strong bond and completing special quests. Additionally, a player may even be able to date and romance their party members if the player happens to spend enough time with them.

Harvestella is available on Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows.
