Many gamers tend to think of EA games as a studio where the bottom line is everything. As evidence they point to the shocking number of Studios EA has acquired and closed, including Westwood Studios, the original developers of Command and Conquer. However this game is being described as a "passion project" for EA. It's even gone so far as to partner up with Petroglyph Games, a studio made up of former members of the original Westwood Studios. This means that the original creative team will once again be at the helm of Command and Conquer.

It looks like EA is taking all of the right steps for remastering a game. It's keeping the core gameplay that fans fell in love with all those years ago, while making all sorts of improvements, like using AI to update the cutscenesCommand and Conquer Remastered Collection is looking like a must have for both fans of the original games, and for new comers to the RTS genre alike.
