Originally one the most anticipated games of 2018, Bandai Namco's Code Vein was given an E3 announcement trailer today that finally confirmed its release date. As it turns out, Code Vein will finally launch on September 27, 2019.

The official release date announcement trailer has dropped during E3 2019 courtesy of Bandai Namco Entertainment. The trailer is somewhat revealing with regards to the title's story and features some action-focused gameplay footage.

A female narrator provides a brief introduction in the beginning describing a universal desperation or "thirst." In order to offset this desperation, there exists a spring which "weeps tears of blood." She adds this is what "'they' said, anyway." A red mist is then said by a male narrator as having spread after a "queen was defeated." Apparently, this mist had prevented the departure of any living being surrounded by it or in danger of contact.

After the trailer establishes that "humanity has collapsed," the male narrator states that Revenants require blood or they will transform into what he and others have labeled the "Lost." The video then goes on to present epic cinematic footage as well as hack-and-slash gameplay much like Dark Souls or other Souls-like games. Like Dark Souls, some uniquely-designed and gruesome enemies show up in the trailer as well.

The trailer ends on a final note of confidence from one of the characters. He states that in a world where it is "eat or be eaten," he chooses "to eat." The trailer finally reveals its date of release.

The Code Vein trailer appears very promising. With a unique graphical style and some exhilarating sequences shown in the trailer, Bandai Namco Entertainment looks to capture audiences once again with its content and have gamers be enthralled with its worlds.
