Without a doubt, Bandai Namco Entertainment's forthcoming action-RPG Code Vein is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2018, with fans looking forward to the publisher and developer finally nailing down a solid release date once and for all. Speaking of which, should a recent PR listing be accurate, then the Dark Souls-like title could be seeing its launch at some point during July of this year.

This much was intimated by the Finnish PR company known as 3H Distribution Oy, as it has sent an email to the press that shares the release dates for many games coming out this year, including Code Vein, which is listed as "July 2018" for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately for PC fans, though, the firm didn't offer a listing for the title to be launched on personal computers, so it's possible that Bandai Namco might only be focusing on a console release at first, with a PC version set for a later date.

For those unaware, Code Vein was unveiled about a year ago when Bandai Namco Entertainment asked its fans to "Prepare to Dine" with a cryptic teaser that suggested the launch of a new title inspired by the Dark Souls franchise was imminent. However, with the company yet to officially confirm a release date for the action-RPG, many are getting anxious with wonder as to when exactly the title will become available.

Although Code Vein's release date is still up in the air, E3 2018 is just around the corner, so it's quite possible that Bandai Namco Entertainment is saving such a major announcement for this year's big event. Of course, should this be the case, with so many other AAA projects set to receive their own spotlights at E3 2018 – including those unforeseen surprises that come every year – there's a chance that excitement for Code Vein could get lost amid the hustle and bustle of the whole affair.

Code Vein is currently scheduled to release at some point in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
