10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To Fushigi Yugi

This anime series has had a few sequel series, but could use a sequel set in the modern world. Fushigi Yugi Eikoden showed Miaka Yuki giving birth to her and Taka/Tamahome's daughter at the end of, and also showed the Universe of the Four Gods book back on the shelf at the library. A sequel series could involve their daughter discovering the book and begin a new journey with some of the reborn Suzaku Seven warriors.

Tatsuki and Chichiri are the only Suzaku warriors that have managed to live throughout the whole series. Seeing whether they ever settled down and had families of their own, or continue to wander around, would answer some questions fans have about their endings.

9 Gundam Wing

10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To Gundam Wing

Gundam Wing is a fan-favorite among Gundam fans. It does have a sequel novel series, New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop, which has 12 volumes. However, most fans don't know about it. An anime adaption of the books would be nice for fans that grew up watching this series. They would also get to see how their favorite characters fare after the war.

Frozen Teardrop also introduces some of the characters' children, while also showing what some of the old characters are doing. It would be nice to see Heero and Relena get the happy they deserve after all that they've been through.

8 Fruits Basket

With the final season of the 2019 reboot airing, it would be great to see the sequel series of the manga, Fruits Basket Another, get an anime adaption. 7 The Vision Of Escaflowne

10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To The Vision of Escaflowne

A fantasy anime thathad some mecha elements to it, The Vision of Escaflowne ended with Hitomi Kanzaki returning back to her world after helping Van Fanel, the King of Fanelia in the world of Gaea. During the final moments of the series, Hitomi sees a vision of Van at the train station and tells him she's fine while he smiles at her. It gave fans a bittersweet ending, but a sequel series could continue where the original left off.

Their love story was similar to Inuyasha and Kagome's in Inuyasha, but Van and Hitomi couldn't stay together. In a sequel, Hitomi or Van could try to find a way to get to the other person's world. Plus, some fans are eager to know if Millerna did wait for Dyrden to come back from his journey.

6 Descendants Of Darkness/Yami No Matsuei

10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To Desecdants of Darkness Yami No Matsuei

With only 13 episodes, Descendants of Darkness could use a sequel since it did not complete the manga story. A sequel series could continue following the manga and have some room to add some episodes to show more of the background characters like Tatsumi and Wakari. Showing the rest of the manga chapters that didn't make it could be a great way to start a sequel.

This anime show was also one of the few in the genre shows to integrate some LGBTQ+ elements. Exploring these elements more deeply would be a little more accepted today, than when it first released back in 2000.

5 Ouran High School Host Club

10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To Ouran Highschool Host Club

Like Descendants of Darkness, the anime series for Ouran High School Host Club didn't complete the manga story. A sequel could continue the story of the manga and let fans watch the rest of the story unfurl. The antics of Tamaki, Honey-senpai, and the Hitachiin twins are always hilarious to watch. Seeing Kyoya, Mori-senpai, and Haruhi dealing with them while maintaining order and sanity is also just as hilarious.

The relationship between Tamaki and Haruhi could continue to develop as well. In the last episode, it is hinted that they have strong feelings for each other, but it wasn't fully explored. A sequel could give that relationship a chance to bloom.

4 Hellsing Ultimate

Integra doesn't have any children and there is no one left in her family, leaving Alucard and Seras with no one to serve after she dies.

The Hellsing Organization would no longer be a family-run organization, but a government-run one. A sequel series could show if Alucard and Seras will obey or rebel against the government, or possibly find a new master to serve.

3 Rurouni Kenshin

Yakiho holding a sword in Ruroni Kenshin

A beloved series from the 90s, a sequel to Rurouni Kenshin could follow Yahiko and his journey to becoming a great samurai like Kenshin. By the end of the original series, Yahiko's skills as a swordsman have grown significantly. He is one of the most feared and revered swordsmen in Tokyo.

With his skills, someone could be after him to either defeat him in battle or kill him, especially since he's still only 15 years old at the end of the manga series. Plenty of challenges could still await him in a sequel.

2 Record of Lodoss War

10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To Record of Lodoss War

The original series had a short run that was 13 episodes long, and a sequel series that was 27 episodes long. A new sequel could be a fresh revival and continue the story of Parn and/or Spark and their allies.

Record of Lodoss War is a classic fantasy anime that is very reminiscent of Dungeons and Dragons. Most modern fantasy anime shows integrate many elements of other genres, creating fusions. A classic, no-frills fantasy anime show would be nice to see in the modern day.

1 Wolf's Rain

10 Anime Fans Want A Sequel To Wolf's Rain

For having one season that spanned for 30 episodes, Wolf's Rain left a big impression on the anime world. The anime series ended on an ambiguous note, leaving fans to wonder exactly what happened. It ends with all the characters dying and the world is seemingly reborn.

All of the characters are reborn as well, but it doesn't show if they remember their past lives or each other. Kiba is the last one to be seen, and fans assume he's off to find Paradise once again. A sequel series could answer the question if other deceased characters like Blue, Cheza or Darcia were also reborn, and what they're up to next.
